What is Supermicro MicroCloud?

The 3U systems are engineered to support 24, 12, or 8 nodes, each equipped with 4 DIMM slots and the flexibility to utilize hot-swappable 3.5” or 2.5” NVMe/SAS3/SATA3 drives. With onboard 10 Gigabit Ethernet, these systems are crafted for superior cost-effectiveness. The MicroCloud’s modular architecture promotes high density, simplifies maintenance, and maintains affordability, all of which are essential for today's hyper-scale environments. Housed within a compact 3U chassis that is less than 30 inches deep, these modular server nodes can achieve over 76% space savings in racks compared to traditional 1U servers. This series of MicroCloud servers is tailored for single socket computing, optimized specifically for hyper-scale data centers, utilizing cutting-edge power-efficient system-on-chip (SoC) processors like the Intel® Xeon® E/D/E3/E5 and Intel® Atom® C Processors, thus enabling versatile and scalable solutions for cloud and edge computing. Additionally, power and I/O ports are conveniently located at the front of the chassis, making server provisioning, upgrades, and maintenance faster and easier, which significantly boosts operational productivity. The thoughtful design of these systems underscores their importance in accommodating the growing demands of modern computing infrastructures.

What is Supermicro Hyper?

Advanced computing systems equipped with both front and rear I/O configurations deliver outstanding performance capabilities. They utilize cutting-edge PCIe 5.0 NVMe SSD technology to offer extremely fast storage solutions. Additionally, these systems enhance networking flexibility by supporting AIOM NICs that are compliant with OCP 3.0 standards. Tailored for optimal performance and versatility, they are specifically designed for enterprise and telecommunications applications. Models optimized for telecom features short-depth, carrier-grade Hyper-E servers that adhere to NEBS Level 3 standards. The innovative toolless design significantly boosts serviceability, streamlining maintenance processes. With the capacity to accommodate up to 32 DIMM slots and a maximum memory of 8TB DDR5-4800, these systems can also integrate Intel® Optane™ persistent memory seamlessly. They come equipped with redundant power supplies available in ratings of 2000W, 1300W, or 1200W, all achieving a Titanium efficiency rating of 96%. Furthermore, support for dual 4th Gen Intel® Xeon® Scalable processors allows for a TDP of up to 350W. Users also benefit from the ability to utilize as many as 24 hot-swap NVMe, SATA, or SAS drive bays, with optional RAID functionality accessible via AOC. This impressive array of features not only solidifies the systems' power but also enhances their versatility for various demanding applications, making them a top choice in the market.
