What is T.O.V.A.?

The T.O.V.A. provides healthcare professionals with objective data for evaluating attention and inhibitory control. Notably, the visual segment of the T.O.V.A. aids in diagnosing and assessing treatment for attention-related conditions, including attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). In a similar vein, the auditory section is also vital for identifying attention deficits, particularly in ADHD cases. It is crucial that qualified professionals analyze the results from the T.O.V.A. to ensure accurate interpretation. The design of the test offers cultural and linguistic neutrality, featuring a sufficiently extensive computerized assessment that does not require left/right discrimination or sequencing tasks. Using a specialized microswitch, the test captures responses to both visual and auditory stimuli with incredible accuracy (±1 ms). The T.O.V.A. evaluates several key factors, such as variability in response time (consistency), speed of response, impulsivity (commissions), and levels of focus and vigilance (omissions). These findings are subsequently compared against a well-established normative sample, accounting for age and gender, as well as a cohort of individuals with a confirmed ADHD diagnosis, allowing for a thorough evaluation. Additionally, this comprehensive approach fosters a better understanding of a patient's attention capabilities, ultimately enhancing the treatment and management of attention disorders. By utilizing such detailed metrics, practitioners can tailor interventions more effectively to meet the unique needs of each individual.

What is QbCheck?

QbCheck is a cutting-edge, clinically validated online assessment tool designed for evaluating and monitoring ADHD, offering accurate and quantifiable evaluations of attention, impulsivity, and activity symptoms by utilizing a structured computer task coupled with real-time activity tracking through facial mapping and motion analysis; this innovative platform generates objective data and reports that healthcare providers can leverage alongside conventional interviews and rating scales to improve diagnostic precision and guide treatment decisions. Its adaptable design permits secure administration in both clinical settings and remote environments when appropriate, and it effortlessly integrates into clinician workflows via a specialized portal that manages patient profiles, tracks testing progress, and provides access to results. Typically, the assessment takes approximately 15 to 20 minutes to complete and benchmarks individual performance against extensive normative datasets categorized by age and gender, effectively pinpointing differences linked to ADHD traits, with results made available immediately after the assessment is finished. Furthermore, this tool not only aids clinicians but also empowers patients by enhancing their understanding of ADHD symptoms and management strategies, fostering a collaborative approach to treatment. This dual benefit ultimately contributes to improved outcomes for those dealing with ADHD.
