What is Tablet Command?

Tablet Command acts as a mobile solution for managing incidents and responses, significantly improving situational awareness, expediting response times, optimizing operations, and enhancing accountability among firefighters. With this platform, incident commanders can effortlessly position responding units at an emergency scene by tapping and dragging, while concurrently tracking their progress against crucial checklists and documenting each action with accurate time stamps. Moreover, Tablet Command serves as a thorough substitute for mobile data terminals, specifically tailored to cater to the distinctive needs of the Fire Service. Users have the capability to oversee incidents directly on an interactive map, integrating situational and resource status into one easily accessible view on their iPads. In scenarios such as battling wildland fires during the night, commanders can rely on daytime satellite imagery to gauge the proximity of homes and vegetation. The system additionally allows for the automatic generation of data as a byproduct of incident management, providing customizable checklists that can be retrieved instantly. Every completed task is meticulously logged and time-stamped, ensuring accountability and maintaining a comprehensive record of activities throughout the incident. This progressive method of incident management guarantees that firefighters are thoroughly prepared to respond effectively in diverse situations, ultimately enhancing their operational readiness and effectiveness.

What is RedAlert?

RedAlert is a fire department records management and operational administration platform developed by Alpine Software for municipal, career, volunteer, and combination fire departments. The software consolidates emergency response information, incident reporting, personnel administration, scheduling, training, fire prevention, and equipment management within a centralized database. Its incident reporting capabilities support National Emergency Response Information System (NERIS) standards through configurable reporting templates, automated narrative generation, validation controls, and electronic submission workflows. Computer-aided dispatch integrations automatically populate incident records with dispatch information and distribute relevant details to connected field applications. RedAlert Responder provides mobile emergency notifications, live firefighter response status, GPS routing, and access to hydrant locations, building hazards, and pre-incident plans. Its Mobile and MDT applications allow firefighters to review incident information, complete reports, inspect apparatus, and access operational records from phones, tablets, and vehicle-mounted devices. Personnel administration tools manage employee and volunteer profiles, shift schedules, training attendance, certification renewals, and departmental participation histories. Attendance management capabilities support fingerprint, key fob, and identification card check-ins through RedAlert Kiosk, along with LOSAP, stipend, pay-per-call, and point-based programs. Fire prevention functionality includes occupancy records, property inspections, permits, violation tracking, hazardous materials information, and fire investigation documentation. Asset management tools provide apparatus inventories, equipment inspections, SCBA tracking, hose testing, QR code scanning, preventive maintenance schedules, and work order management.
