Terracotta vs. Photivo

Terracotta serves as an online gallery solution specifically designed for photographers and small studios, enabling them to create personalized photo and video galleries that showcase their distinct branding through customizable styles, layouts, covers, and fonts for each session. This innovative platform empowers photographers to enhance their presentations by integrating logos, color palettes, background designs, and travel stamps, adding a unique touch to their showcases. Clients can interact with the galleries by favoriting images, leaving comments, and downloading high-resolution files with security PINs and specific usage limits, while also enjoying films or slideshows directly within the galleries. To further secure their work, photographers can implement multiple layers of protection, including password access or email gating, in addition to watermarking previews, setting expiration alerts, and tracking gallery interactions through views and downloads. Furthermore, Terracotta supports the creation of Instagram carousels, assists in building professional portfolios, collects client testimonials, and allows for seamless gallery transfers from other platforms without incurring additional fees. The platform offers an initial 3 GB of storage free of charge, with a lower per-GB rate applied as storage needs grow, alongside an option for cold storage for galleries that are not frequently accessed. Overall, Terracotta equips photographers with a robust set of tools for effectively managing and showcasing their work, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for their clients while also fostering engagement. This adaptability makes it an invaluable asset for those looking to elevate their photography business.
