What is WipeCert?

WipeCert gives IT teams, MSPs and ITADs a signed record of every drive they erase, one their clients and auditors can check without calling them. There are five ways to start a wipe: Intune bare-metal erase, which restarts a managed PC into WipeCert and clears the whole disk remotely; Intune remote wipe from your own tenant; a bootable USB or ISO; PXE network boot; and a desktop agent. Together they cover x64 or ARM64 hardware running Windows, macOS or Linux. WipeCert detects each drive and recommends a method, such as NVMe Sanitize, ATA Secure Erase or cryptographic erase, and the operator confirms it. The certificate records that method and whether it meets NIST 800-88 Clear or Purge. The web dashboard holds devices, live job status, team roles and a full audit log. API access and webhooks come with the Professional plan and up.

What is D-Secure Drive Eraser?

D-Secure Drive Eraser delivers powerful data destruction services specifically designed for businesses, ensuring that data on HDDs, SSDs, and NVMe drives in desktops, servers, and RAID setups is permanently and verifiably erased. By following internationally accepted wiping standards like NIST 800-88 and DoD 5220.22-M, it ensures that data is rendered unrecoverable by any forensic methods. After each erasure, a tamper-proof, digitally signed audit certificate is generated, which is invaluable for organizations in sectors such as healthcare, finance, government, and education to meet regulatory requirements such as GDPR, HIPAA, and ISO 27001. The software supports various deployment strategies, including bootable USB drives, PXE network booting, and remote MSI package installation tailored for Windows, making it suitable for both online and offline scenarios. Its compatibility across platforms like Windows, macOS, and Linux positions it as an excellent option for a variety of enterprise environments. This solution also aids IT asset disposition (ITAD) providers in verifying devices before resale, ensuring organizations can responsibly dispose of hardware at the end of its lifecycle. Through its comprehensive data erasure methodology, D-Secure Drive Eraser not only boosts security but also facilitates compliance and operational efficiency, benefiting a wide range of industries. Furthermore, its adaptability to different systems and regulations underscores the importance of secure data management in today's digital landscape.
