What is ZebraCM?

ZebraCM serves as a more streamlined edition of Zebra2, featuring a thoughtfully curated set of modules that are organized in an intuitive manner. Even with its reduced size, ZebraCM stands out as a versatile synthesizer, offering enough features to captivate users as they prepare to explore the expansive functionalities of Zebra2. This iteration was designed specifically for the audience of Computer Music magazine. It comprises two wavetable oscillators, each equipped with 16 unique waveforms, and includes built-in sync as well as spectral filtering capabilities. Users can leverage a maximum of 16 voices, with options for duophonic, monophonic, and legato modes. The synthesizer also encompasses various noise types, including white, pink, digital, and crackling effects. Moreover, it presents 20 distinct modes that span a wide range of filter types, such as lowpass, bandpass, notch, shelf, and all-pass filters. For modulation purposes, ZebraCM is furnished with three LFOs and two ADSR envelopes that feature rise and fall sustain controls. Effects such as chorus, delay, and reverb are integrated, further enriching its sound design potential. The user interface is designed to be both resizable and skinnable, allowing adjustments between 70% and 200% of its default size for a tailored workspace experience. In addition to these features, ZebraCM includes an impressive library of 221 factory presets, providing users with a robust starting point to delve into its vast sonic landscape and unleash their creativity. With such an array of capabilities, ZebraCM is an excellent tool for musicians and sound designers alike.

What is Modley?

Modley represents a groundbreaking modulation delay that enables the integration of various effects, allowing users to shape complex delay signals by utilizing a selection of specially curated effect modules for innovative sound manipulation. The essence of Modley lies in its ambition to enhance the potential of delay effects, with its effectiveness governed solely by the imagination of the user. While it is capable of executing traditional delay methods such as stereo delays, tape delays, and rapid slapback effects, the true power of Modley is unveiled through its assortment of unique effect modules. Noteworthy among its new functionalities is a feedback mode that transforms the operation of loop insert effects, and the filter insert has seen an upgrade to incorporate a bandpass feature. Furthermore, a brand new bitcrusher insert effect broadens the horizon for sound design, complemented by a freeze function that permits processing either before or after the loop. To support the creative journey, Modley comes equipped with an array of presets designed to spark inspiration. The initial segment, referred to as the Pre rack, handles all effects positioned there prior to the audio progressing to the Loop rack, providing a thorough methodology for sound design. With its extensive features and options, Modley empowers artists to delve into unexplored realms of sound, pushing the boundaries of their creativity even further. This innovative tool not only enhances musical expression but also encourages experimentation, fostering a deeper connection between sound and artistic intent.
