What is ZebraCM?

ZebraCM serves as a more streamlined edition of Zebra2, featuring a thoughtfully curated set of modules that are organized in an intuitive manner. Even with its reduced size, ZebraCM stands out as a versatile synthesizer, offering enough features to captivate users as they prepare to explore the expansive functionalities of Zebra2. This iteration was designed specifically for the audience of Computer Music magazine. It comprises two wavetable oscillators, each equipped with 16 unique waveforms, and includes built-in sync as well as spectral filtering capabilities. Users can leverage a maximum of 16 voices, with options for duophonic, monophonic, and legato modes. The synthesizer also encompasses various noise types, including white, pink, digital, and crackling effects. Moreover, it presents 20 distinct modes that span a wide range of filter types, such as lowpass, bandpass, notch, shelf, and all-pass filters. For modulation purposes, ZebraCM is furnished with three LFOs and two ADSR envelopes that feature rise and fall sustain controls. Effects such as chorus, delay, and reverb are integrated, further enriching its sound design potential. The user interface is designed to be both resizable and skinnable, allowing adjustments between 70% and 200% of its default size for a tailored workspace experience. In addition to these features, ZebraCM includes an impressive library of 221 factory presets, providing users with a robust starting point to delve into its vast sonic landscape and unleash their creativity. With such an array of capabilities, ZebraCM is an excellent tool for musicians and sound designers alike.

What is Syndt?

Syndt stands out as a sophisticated polyphonic synthesizer that provides an extensive array of creative possibilities. Its unique oscillator waveform supports a smooth transition from a clean sine wave to a square wave, including options for pulse width modifications. With two independent LFOs, users can modulate the waveform shape and pulse width separately, enhancing sound design potential significantly. The synthesizer is equipped with precise low pass and high pass filters, along with a customizable filter attack response that reacts to velocity, enabling the production of both raw and mesmerizing sounds. Additionally, a third LFO, which can be shaped to mirror the oscillator, can control filters, gain, and pitch through modulation wheels or automated configurations. This LFO is also capable of synchronizing effortlessly with an AUv3 host. On the effects front, it boasts a lush stereo chorus, a ping-pong stereo delay that can align with the BPM of an AUv3 host, and an EQ for detailed sound adjustments. The XY pad provides control over both the oscillator and LFO, with PWM modulation along the X-axis and waveform morphing on the Y-axis. Furthermore, each axis of the oscillator's XY pad features its own mini-LFO, generating sine wave modulation for dynamic sound shaping. This expansive feature set allows musicians and sound designers to explore and redefine the limits of their audio creations, making Syndt an essential tool for innovative sound exploration.
