What is eFieldData?

eFieldData is a robust electronic system designed for the efficient management of field data, operating as a cloud-based platform that streamlines workflows in areas such as construction materials testing, geotechnical engineering, and field inspection activities. By incorporating features like scheduling, work orders, mobile data collection, laboratory testing, reporting, timesheet management, invoicing, and client communications, it facilitates a centralized and organized workflow. Field technicians can take advantage of a mobile app compatible with both iOS and Android, which allows them to conveniently access project details, record results from tests on materials such as asphalt, concrete, and soil, attach photographs from the site, and GPS-tag their locations while ensuring real-time data synchronization. The system includes standardized electronic forms with embedded calculations that conform to ASTM, AASHTO, and state DOT standards, thus enhancing reliability through automated validation that reduces data-entry errors and improves overall consistency. Moreover, the platform ensures that field samples are efficiently transferred to lab management, allowing technicians to track samples, carry out tests, apply standard calculations, and generate reports without the hassle of duplicate data entry or manual matching, resulting in a smoother and error-free workflow. This pioneering method not only boosts productivity but also guarantees that quality control is upheld across the entire data management process, reinforcing the platform's value in modern field data operations. In this way, eFieldData exemplifies innovation in the construction and engineering sectors by creating an interconnected environment that promotes efficiency and accuracy.

What is Solpile?

Solpile is a Windows desktop application specifically created for geotechnical and structural engineers who need to assess a single pile subjected to lateral forces within various layered soil conditions. Users can input the pile's dimensions, sectional properties, and the characteristics of the different soil layers, enabling them to apply either pile-head or distributed loads to determine the pile's response. With advanced p-y soil models and a finite-difference beam-on-springs solver, the software ensures precise analysis. It provides a range of analytical options, accounting for factors such as groundwater effects, sloped ground, battered piles, static and cyclic loads, soil movement, nonlinear pile behavior, axial-load interactions, and LRFD combinations. The outputs generated include comprehensive data on deflections, bending moments, shear forces, soil reactions, and p-y curves at designated depths. Moreover, users can perform further analyses on pushover responses, buckling, stiffness, and optimal pile lengths. Results can be exported in several formats, including PDF, Word, and Excel, and the software supports both metric and imperial units. Compatible with Windows 10 and 11, Solpile features an online licensing system but allows for offline functionality for up to 30 days, providing flexibility for engineers working in various environments. The application boasts a user-friendly interface, ensuring that professionals can navigate the software with ease while efficiently conducting their analyses and assessments. Additionally, continuous updates and support are available to enhance user experience and functionality over time.
