What is kMetal?

Clastix presents kMetal, a Kubernetes solution that runs directly on bare-metal servers, eliminating the necessity for a hypervisor. The platform leverages kernel-based KVM for direct virtualization, orchestrates software-defined networking for various tenants, and builds immutable operating systems for each node, all represented as Kubernetes resources. This innovative approach allows teams to independently establish self-service Kubernetes clusters on their own infrastructure, guaranteeing every tenant has access to a dedicated control plane, a distinct network, and clearly defined resource quotas.
