What is webhooks.io?

Webhooks.io is an all-encompassing platform that acts as both a webhook proxy and provider, aimed at improving the reliability, scalability, and adaptability of webhooks for application developers and end users alike. In just five minutes, teams can consolidate all their webhook traffic through a single, reliable service, which provides immediate insights and dependable request handling. The Proxy Relay Service stands out as a trustworthy solution for managing webhook traffic, featuring capabilities such as data transformation, filtering options, multiple destination endpoints, customizable retry strategies, request logging, comprehensive payload visibility, and performance analytics for deliveries. Users can easily subscribe to one webhook and direct it to various endpoints, set individualized backoff policies for each destination, and design workflows that trigger HTTP requests, filter payload content, trim unnecessary data, or modify information before it is sent out. Furthermore, Webhooks.io offers SaaS providers a robust provider platform along with client libraries that integrate a sophisticated webhook engine into pre-existing applications, significantly boosting their functionality and dependability. This comprehensive approach allows businesses to handle their webhook requirements efficiently while enhancing overall operational effectiveness, ensuring they remain competitive in a fast-paced digital landscape. Ultimately, the platform empowers users to streamline their processes and focus on core business objectives.

What is MergeMe?

MergeMe seamlessly integrates GitHub pull requests and GitLab merge requests into Slack, offering an efficient notification card that continuously updates for each PR/MR. Unlike the official Slack integrations for GitHub or GitLab that create a new message for every event, MergeMe refreshes a single message as its status changes—from opened to under review to approved and finally merged. During the review process, any comments are shown as replies in a thread under the notification card, which helps keep all feedback neatly organized and easily accessible. Additionally, MergeMe supports various code hosting services, such as GitHub, GitLab, and even self-hosted GitLab instances. Users have the ability to connect multiple git sources within a single Slack workspace, allowing them to assign each repository or project to specific Slack channels. It also maps usernames from GitHub and GitLab to Slack users to ensure effective notifications via @mentions for reviewers, while employing label-based routing to sort bugs, features, and documentation efforts into different channels. The setup is designed to be user-friendly and quick, taking approximately five minutes; users simply need to connect their Slack account, link their git provider through OAuth, a GitHub App, or a webhook URL for self-hosted setups, and configure the desired channel mappings. Importantly, MergeMe operates exclusively on webhook payloads, ensuring that it does not access any private source code. For users on the Free Hobby plan, the service offers one channel mapping and accommodates up to five users, making it a fantastic entry point for teams looking to improve their development processes and collaboration. Furthermore, as teams grow and require more mappings and users, they can easily transition to higher-tier plans to unlock additional features and enhancements.
