It works great for unlocking video editing potential.

    Date: May 11 2023
    Summary

One of the specific cases where Adobe Premiere Pro has come in handy in my work is when I need to create property videos for virtual tours. The platform's organizational tools like containers, tags, bookmarks, metadata, and search features have helped me manage my media assets and find what I need quickly. This has allowed me to efficiently create engaging property videos that highlight the best features of a property, making it easier to sell or rent.

Another instance where Adobe Premiere Pro has come in handy is when I need to edit and enhance footage of a property that was shot by a drone. The rig's excellent stabilization tools have helped me smooth out shaky images and correct lens distortions, resulting in a polished final product. Also, its simple yet effective color correction system called Lumetri Color has allowed me to adjust the color of my clips using sliders, curves, wheels, and scopes, resulting in vibrant and eye-catching images.

Adobe Premiere Pro has allowed me to produce high-quality proprietary video efficiently, saving me time and effort in the process. Its robust features and tools have been crucial in helping me create compelling virtual tours and showcase properties in their best light.

    Positive

One of the outstanding features of Adobe Premiere Pro is its support for many video formats, codecs, and resolutions. This includes 4K, 8K, VR, and HDR, making it a versatile option for video production. Users can also import and export media from other Adobe applications, such as Photoshop, After Effects, and Media Encoder, streamlining the editing process.

Adobe Premiere Pro offers many organizational tools, such as bins, tags, bookmarks, metadata, and search features, that help users manage their media assets and find what they need quickly. This feature can be especially beneficial for those who work on large-scale projects with lots of media.

This software also boasts responsive speed and performance, thanks to its GPU-accelerated rendering and playback engine. Users can further optimize their workflow and reduce rendering times through the use of proxies and intelligent rendering. Additionally, Adobe Premiere Pro integrates seamlessly with a rich ecosystem of video production applications, such as After Effects, Audition, and Frame.io.

Another notable feature of Adobe Premiere Pro is its excellent stabilization tools, which can smooth out shaky images and correct lens distortions. Users can also use the Warp Stabilizer to create smooth transitions and effects, resulting in a more polished final product. It also allows unlimited multi-camera angles and sync options, which is especially useful for editing multi-camera footage. Users can even switch between different camera views in real time during playback.

Adobe Premiere Pro offers a powerful transcription and subtitles tool that can automatically generate subtitles from audio or video clips. Users can also edit, design and export their subtitles in various formats. The platform also includes a simple but effective color correction system called Lumetri Color, which allows users to adjust the color of their clips using sliders, curves, wheels, and scopes, and apply looks and creative presets to enhance the state of their clips. mood and tone of your videos.

    Negative

It can be intimidating for non-professionals or beginners who are not familiar with its interface and features. The platform has a steep learning curve and requires some training and practice to master, which may put some users off.

It can be buggy and unstable, especially when using new updates or working with complex projects. This can lead to unexpected freezes or crashes, which can be frustrating and time consuming. It's a good idea to save your work frequently and use auto-save to minimize the risk of losing progress.

This software requires a high-end computer system to run smoothly and handle large files. It also consumes a lot of disk space and memory resources, which can be a challenge for those with limited resources. Users must have enough storage space and RAM for optimal performance, which can be expensive to upgrade.

Adobe Premiere Pro is only available on a subscription basis, which means that users have to pay a monthly or yearly fee to use it. You cannot buy it outright or own it permanently, which may be inconvenient or expensive for some users. While the subscription model does provide access to updates and support, it may not be a viable option for those on a tight budget.

Allows the creation of professional videos.

    Date: Dec 28 2022
    Summary

This platform makes it easy to be able to edit good quality videos regardless of your level of experience, although I personally recommend that people who are going to use Premiere Pro for the first time prepare very well to be able to enter the world of video editing as it can be very overwhelming to use its tools. With Premiere Pro I have been able to develop several introductory videos for my clients when I show them properties at long distances, as well as the possible changes they can make in case they require it. With this tool it has been easy for me to be able to capture all the information easily thanks to its transitions, effects, that I can add images, sounds, videos, and do many things with this video editor without any limitations. The problem is that it requires great computational power to allow this software to run without a problem, since the more multimedia content is added to the video, the more it will require computer resources to be able to move everything without any problem. I have used other video editing software such as Final Cut Pro and it is not as complete as this one, plus one of the main features that Premiere has and that I liked is that I can create various templates for the different social networks of my company and streamline the workflow to already have everything predefined and only assemble the content to then render and send to the different social media. I recommend this software for both content creators from any social network and for video production professionals who require extensive video editing, since this platform is very complete to do that job.

    Positive

+ It supports practically all audio and video codecs, likewise it can also be exported in any established codec without the need to lose quality and also be able to make it compatible with any device which will play the video. In addition, with its updates it includes the new codecs on the market, so I'm not worried about being out of the most recent standards of video features when I want to upload it to any social media.

+ I can edit any video, whether it is of a high quality like 4K or even more, like videos in 8K quality, in addition to the fact that these video formats are handled without a problem once you have the appropriate equipment that supports it, of course. It was not a problem for me to be able to work with this quality of formats and practically nothing crashed when using the bar where the audio and video tracks are located, since there are generally video editing platforms that have a hard time processing high-quality videos. quality when previewing the video editing, when it goes ahead or behind a specific part.

+ Its interface is made to measure and has several profiles that adapt to the needs of the user, whether or not they need certain tools. I liked this a lot because I was able to adjust the tools as they learn to use certain features or as they have a specific use for this platform, either as a template of the features that I use the most. So despite being a complicated tool, it will be easy to recognize the location of all the elements since everything is well structured by sections and you won't get lost along the way.

+ Being part of the wide range of editing software that Abobe has, it is easy to integrate other platforms to complement the work, whether it is adding an Adobe Illustrator illustration in .ai format and also being able to modify the characteristics of the selected file from another platform from Adobe. So it was convenient for me to have that integration and also that I can work in the cloud with the other Adobe platforms so I can have the files from the other platforms so I can add them to Premiere Pro.

    Negative

    - It is made for professionals, it is not easy to fully master this platform since it requires a lot of knowledge to be able to understand and get the most out of Premiere Pro. Adobe should focus on a platform similar to this one that allows video editing in a more simple but complete to make videos quickly, something like the Adobe Photoshop application for mobile devices, which is very simple and easy to retouch photos without having all the tools that the desktop version has.

    - Requires high-power equipment, this means that a well-updated equipment is needed to do large processing tasks such as 4K video editing, removing backgrounds from videos without green screen and more functions that require a large computing capacity . So you have to consider the equipment before purchasing Premiere as the equipment may not be compatible or the rendering times may be too long for the delivery time of the projects that are going to be carried out with this platform.

    - I have not liked the business model that Adobe currently has, I would like its model to be a single payment since the monthly payment has become more expensive than before. The budget when acquiring the service became more expensive in the long term for Premiere Pro, since before, regardless of whether you had profits in a month or not, it did not affect the use of Premiere, now you have to calculate the profits to know if it is profitable continue to use the subscription or not.

    - It has to be combined with After Effects to complement Premiere Pro as it is not a complete platform for video editing, it lacks video and animation feature that can only be found in After Effects and it is annoying to have to use more than one platform to make a single animation job. So Adobe should rethink about unifying in a single platform all the elements of video editing and select the most basic ones for newbies and one for professionals as DaVinci Resolve currently does.

    The Best of the Best

    Date: Aug 31 2021
    Summary

Despite the detractors of the subscription model, this software does exactly what you want and need. If you are looking to be serious about editing, then this is where the buck starts and stops.

    Positive

Video design is incredibly difficult and skillful, and Adobe Premiere makes it one of the smoothest processes out there. No other video editing software comes close to the control this offers.

    Negative

There is a learning curve and a cost curve, and the subscription model makes it a forever expense.

    My Ride-or-Die Video Editor

    Date: Aug 16 2021
    Summary

I'm not sure if Premiere is just arranged in a way that makes sense to my brain in particular or if the user experience is really THAT good but I have a feeling it's the latter. I learned Premiere in high school 15 years ago and have never looked back. Even the most basic user can get a simple video out the door quickly and advanced users get the fun of playing with editing. I'll never use another video editor.

    Positive

Ease of slicing clips and rearranging, ease of disconnecting video from audio, ease of sound editing, ease of EVERYTHING. The user experience of Premiere is great, it's so intuitive.

    Negative

I honestly struggle to think of any. The way that Premiere handles files can be finnicky, even after 15+ years of being a user I'm still not sure I totally understand the file management and can run into issues re-visiting older projects. If you need to be able to go back to old videos to make changes, probably advisable to do a little research on that aspect first.

Pricey? Yes. The best in the business? Yes.

    Date: May 27 2020
    Summary

I can't say enough about how robust Premiere is. It is pricey, but when you are the absolute best out there, you can't be beat.

    Positive

You can't beat Premiere's features for video editing. I have not found a better program with as many options. The Adobe Suite is expensive, but you definitely get what you pay for.

    Negative

It definitely is a bear to learn. Unless you have taken classes specifically about editing in Premiere, prepare to search for a lot of answers online. Their Adobe-specific blog that helps answer questions isn't always helpful, so watching third-party videos can certainly help.

Strong video editor, very good and I used it for years.

    Date: May 29 2020
    Summary

Premiere is nice but not the only option available. It is still one of the best video editing tools in the business though, so it is worth considering.

    Positive

Premiere Pro is among the best options out there for pure video editing, along with Final Cut and Vegas. It is solid, feature rich and relatively stable. I edited many of my old video projects with Premiere, as far back as 2003 with version 5.5. That is before CC, before CS1. So I have used Premiere a LOT and the workflow on the software is great.
It is a shame that the modern subscription model - Creative Cloud - is not ideal, but that doesn't negate the fact that the software is a strong contender in its category.

    Negative

The subscription model of Creative Cloud is not good.. I am not a fan, and I ultimately shifted to Vegas Pro for this reason a year ago.
