    S3 Storage on cloud

    Date: May 28 2020
    Summary

As I am from analytics background data is everything and is to be used on a daily level for various projects S3 always makes things easy to store and retrieve data.

Its support on the windows command prompt makes automation very easy. API integration support is also pretty handy.

For a medium to large scale industry S3 is definitely a very good option to be considered. It compares well both on price and feature set to other comparable static file stores such as Google Drive and Backblaze B2. However, with S3, you get the benefit of being integrated into the AWS ecosystem if needed.

(+) Easy to set up and access the data with a very interesting speed.
(+) Pricing is on a very friendly side compared to other competitors.
(+) Drag and drop is an excellent feature which is very handy.

    Negative

(-) Difficulties in setting up automation systems with multiple accounts or buckets.
(-) No notification feature for automated systems.
(-) UI looks a bit outdated
(-) Searching takes a lot of time which can be reduced.
