What is Bluesky?
Bluesky serves as a prime example of an ideal social media platform, providing users the opportunity to find their specific interests within a large community, unleash their creativity, and rediscover enjoyment in social interactions. Users can focus on their closest connections, stay updated on trending topics, or explore a personalized algorithm designed to cater to their specific likes. Each interest on Bluesky is represented by its own specialized feed, allowing for tailored content discovery. With comprehensive moderation lists, customizable content filters, and a variety of tools at hand, users have the ability to shape their timeline according to their preferences. Looking ahead, both individuals and organizations will be equipped with open tools to enhance their moderation contributions.
Innovative platforms such as the web, email, RSS feeds, and XMPP chats have all shared a common characteristic: they have empowered individuals to communicate freely and create content independently of any central authority. Currently, we are in the process of developing the AT Protocol, which seeks to lay a new groundwork for social networking, allowing creators the independence they require, fostering developer innovation, and delivering personalized experiences that fulfill user desires. By adhering to these guiding principles, we aim to cultivate a more inclusive and user-focused digital landscape. This evolution reflects our commitment to enhancing how people connect and share online.

Not good
Date: Feb 09 2025SummaryOverall I could not recommend this in good conscious to anyone but the most ultra-left caricature of people.
The ease of use sucks, the features are limited, and the design is messy.
The echo-chamber created by the flight of ultra left-wing users from Twitter has further degenerated the quality of the website into what I can only describe as a toxic cesspit.
I have, unfortunately, been driven back to Twitter as a result. Hopefully these people will lose interest in Bluesky so we can return to the ecosystem before their mass migration.PositiveTheir support team was pretty helpful when I had issues with my username. Other than that there unfortunately wasn't much good.
NegativeIt was hard to use, not very intuitive, horrible features, and quiet the echo-chamber of radical extremism. It reminded me of a left-wing truth social, but even that cesspit didn't have as much extremism.

Familiar platform, easy to use
Date: Apr 13 2024SummaryOverall, I'm positive that this app could grow to be everything the Twit was not able to be. I like the design and interface.
PositiveQuite a few people have moved over from twitterX with their usernames intact. The app provides the ability to follow and provides notifications.
NegativePlatform is still growing, and could a little more humph to suggest users with similar interests.
