    I've been using Clio for more than 5 years. I think it's great and I would recommend it to any other firm.

    Positive

    It connects everything together. I can see the connections between clients and other contacts. I love the calendar system. I like how easy it is to look back and see what's been done on a case and when, and who did it.

    Negative

    The task system is my least favorite part. The task page isn't great and it's hard to tell when things are due and what the timeline is compared to other tasks. Making tasks more like Trello cards or something would be nice because it's so hard to tell what's been done on a task.

    Clio streamlines productivity by not having to utilize other applications to manage client accounts but works seamlessly with various apps if you want to. It's extremely easy to use and is supported by a knowledgeable, responsive, customer support team.

    Although the calendar will notify you if a limitation is going to run on a case, at this time you can not search by Statute of Limitations to compile a complete list.

    We have been using Clio Manage and Clio Grow for about 2 years now. It has been a lifesaver on keeping our client files organized, digital and easily accessible.

    The pros to Clio Manage are tracking client balances, organization, easy interface, integration with other apps and it is very user friendly. The pros to Clio Grow is being able to see all potential new clients and where they come from and not losing potential business by letting them slip through the cracks.

    Clio is a good cloud tool for miscellaneous tasks

    If what you want is to save time and effort spent on such simple tasks that other softwares complicate it a bit Clio is a good tool to meet those needs. It has large amounts of storage space and although it is in a cloud, they are characterized in being reliable and providing security.

    First of all, Clio is quite practical due to its visual customization, and its automation is very optimized in terms of actions. Apart from integrating a good chat system, it allows the elaboration of a text by simply clicking on generate document and start writing.

    Although its usability is quite simple, it has new tools for many individuals and the training through instructional videos that it offers are generally basic and difficult to understand. Similarly, if you need technical support from their assistants you will not get anything, they offer lousy service.

    It is effortless to use and navigate.
    The attention to detail, such as the Clio platform's color scheme, makes it easy on the eyes, especially if you're using it all day.

    If you are new to Clio, you are in LUCK!
    Clio has many different types of articles, videos, etc., teaching you the ins and outs of Clio and how to use it to its fullest potential!
    If you can't find what you're looking for there, chat with one of the Support Teams - They are very well trained and can help with any issues accordingly. OH, and they will follow-up with you! You don't get that type of customer service anywhere these days!!

    Clio Manager: All the Amazing Things You Can Do!!
    Over All:
    -you can run many, many different types of reports, and you can make it very personalized!
    -keeping track of your firm's work
    -keeping track of Managing Lawyer(s) work
    -keeping track of paralegals work
    -firm calendar
    -Lawyer/Paralegal calendar where clients can request appointments!
    -Check the Firm's Dashboard to see -Utilization Rate, -Realization Rate, -Collection Rate, etc.
    -You can see a Live Feed of everyone in the Firm's work!

    On a Matter Level:

    I support our lawyers in their work, so most of my work is in the creation and updating of matters, prospect follow-up and billing. All of this is easy and reliable with Clio, and the features which are constantly being added have really improved my experience and efficiency. I love how Clio interfaces directly with Dropbox and LawPay. Tasks are seamless and Clio helps me be confident in my recordkeeping. Person-to-person tech support is always courteous and very helpful. The chat feature is appreciated for smaller things, too.

    I have found that the online help archives don't always keep up with the new features in Clio.

    I love Clio because it is basically a single app which has the ability to keep one organized in multiple ways. The Tasks option helps me keep up with all of my daily, weekly and monthly to-do lists in a simple, easy to view manner. I am able to set alerts to remind me of when projects are due. You can also maintain your all of your contacts, emails and even files through the app. It's my go-to for all! Very simple to navigate as well.

    I will use Clio for all of my case management needs. It’s been useful in conflict checks as well as for sharing files with outside counsel.

    Clio was easy to build and customize for each specific type of case my attorneys need. I work in criminal post-conviction and our needs are vastly different than most firms. I also work as a project manager and it’s been very helpful in managing incoming and outgoing discovery.

    It would be nice to have full customization ability. Otherwise none.

    A pandemic year with Clio

    Like everyone else, this year has been a roller-coaster. Our office was closed for two months, then we were in-office, but closed to the public, then open to the public with stringent safety protocols. We have had employees (including myself) have to quarantine for two weeks at a time and still mange to keep a practice running. Clio allowed us to make these transitions without missing a beat.

    Having all of my cases available wherever I am, on my laptop, iPad or iPhone is a necessity and Clio has delivered on this.
    All case contacts can be dialed directly from the mobile app which has really come a long way.
    Allowing for third-party integration to provide unique solutions is also a game changer in a world with so many proprietary systems.
    Allowing me to bill on my mobile device saves incredible amounts of time.

    Negative

    I wish scheduler was built into Manage rather than Grow. It would also be nice to have document management options in the mobile app.

    Clio has been the best practice management software I've used so far. The team is extremely helpful and they have webinars that count to the continued learning hours.

    Positive

    The software is easy to navigate with most features accessible from the sidebar. There is a time tracker to assist with hours on a client file. Time can be paused and resumed saving tracking from breaks.

    Negative

    The billable hours targets aren't as customizable as I would like, however with Clio making constant upgrades I don't see this being an issue for long.
