    It's All About The Setup!!

    I am an independent CW PSA and CPQ Consultant and I have found, across multiple environments, it's all about the setup. Set it up right to start or set it up right now.. you will find it a great program. All software has their idiosyncrasies for sure but if you get it set right, it can streamline things across the board for all departments.

    If you set things up correctly it's a very, very powerful tool. I have years of finance/billing experience in different applications and I will say, for pro serv invoicing, CW beats the rest. As long as time is entered, agreements are setup correctly and defaulting as they should and tickets are closed, invoicing should be a breeze.

    It's a large program and the learning curve can be kind of steep.

    Once it's all setup and working it's a great tool to handle your help desk ticketing, but be prepared to spend the time and money to get it configured well enough.

    Once it's "properly configured", Manage does a great job as a ticketing system. It can be quite powerful and there seems to be lots of integrations available.

    Negative

    Getting it "properly configured" can be a VERY time consuming and difficult process. Some companies end up having to hire a consultant to get the basics configured because it's so overwhelming. It's very expensive as well, and the support isn't great. Community support can sometimes be better than official support. Mobile app leaves a lot to be desired.

It is a very robust tool that can streamline many processes within any organization, it must be taken into account that it has a certain learning curve that can become steep but it is worth it for how much it offers and how much it helps.

Each program's interface is different. Before making a commitment to ConnectWise, I would recommend looking at all the other managed services options available.

    This stuff is powerful, but requires a lot of manpower to get it all figured out. I thought I had it mastered and then I found out that I had only scratched the surface of a portion of it. It's like the Swiss army knife of managed services.
