What is Correxio?
Correxio is a web-based AI application aimed at aiding teachers in the evaluation of both handwritten and digital assignments. Educators have the capability to upload various formats such as images, PDFs, or scans of students' work, input the exam specifications and grading criteria, and can even ask the AI to create a rubric if they do not have one. The service provides thorough assessments that feature scores for each question, explanations, detailed feedback, and personalized annotations for every student submission. Teachers can easily contrast the AI's generated scores with the original submissions, make any necessary edits to the grades and comments, and then export the finalized class results in CSV format, along with annotated papers in PDF form. The platform supports a range of subject areas, including complex mathematical formulas and programming code, and can utilize an answer key to enhance grading precision. To protect student confidentiality, names are concealed before grading, with any issues in anonymization being flagged for the instructor's attention. Correxio is available on both web browsers and an Android app, making it suitable for teachers working with students from middle school up to higher education levels. Notably, any grades proposed by the AI are provisional until validated by the instructor, underscoring the significance of the educator’s professional judgment in the grading procedure. This method highlights the critical role that teachers play in ensuring fair and accurate assessments of student performance. Furthermore, Correxio's design encourages collaboration between technology and educators, aiming to streamline the grading process while maintaining high standards of academic integrity.
