They say it is free but it's not

    Date: Sep 14 2021
    Summary

If you start using Crmble, be wary for surprises!
The way I used it I can easily trade for other solutions.

    Positive

Easy to use although not every functionality works without hassle. And if you think it is free to use...

    Negative

I don't like the way they "introduce" pricing plans. The software was free to use and you may expect a free plan to be continued but they don't. But the nasty thing is: They are not transparent about their pricing / functionality plans.

I think it's rather strange that they communicate by mail 12 days ago that they're changing the pricing plans but there is not any information available about this on their website.

They say, by the moment Crmble is free. That may be true but within a couple of months it is not (january 1st, 2022). So why still communicating by email and on the site that it is free. Looks like a false representation to me.

They now say in an email that you start with a "Humble Crmble Plan" in which you will pay whatever you want between 0,99 € and 14,99 € user/month. Ex taxes, and in the first year all Crmble functionalities will be able even if you select to pay 0,99 €.

So after one year "Humble Crmble Plan" there will be more of these surprises for users and users are going to pay more for specific functionality. Again this is not very transparent. Why can't they tell customers exactly what the price-plans will be (after a year of getting used to all functionality) and what functions will cost how much.

I really don't like the way Crmble is doing this. Sucking customers in their product for free and if they begin to 'depend' on the software, they introduce a fee and an unclear price/functionality-plan.

On their website they proudly state the amount of customers using Crmble. Over 60K. And 60.071 times 0,99 € per month is as far as I know € 59.470,29 per month and € 713.643,48 per year. Good for them. But count me out. Crmble is not that great or indispensable.

It also feels a bit ungrateful somehow. As an early adopter and with all the feedback and ideas I contributed in the early stage of their development. But especially that they are not transparent about the prices and functionality, I dislike that a lot. This is not the way I am used to doing business. The monsters looked so nice but it turned out to be a real monster.
