Paid Add-On Billing and Cancellation Process Is Unacceptable

    Date: Aug 18 2026
    Summary

My overall experience with CyberPanel has been one of the worst I've had with a software company offering recurring paid services.

This is not simply a complaint that they refused to give me a refund. The much more serious problem is that I repeatedly tried to CANCEL a recurring subscription and CyberPanel did not cancel it.

Their own support eventually confirmed in writing that my subscription remained active, that I had been charged twice, that neither charge had been refunded, that the license had become detached from my account so I couldn't even see the service, and that their system did not provide a self-service method for me to cancel the addon subscription.

I have retained the complete support correspondence documenting all of this.

A company accepting recurring credit-card payments should make cancellation simple. A customer should be able to see every active subscription, click a cancellation button, and stop future billing. At the very least, customer support should be able to immediately process an explicit cancellation request.

Instead, I experienced repeated escalation from one person to another while the subscription remained active.
I would be extremely cautious about purchasing any paid CyberPanel addon or giving this company authorization for recurring credit-card charges. If you do use their paid services, I recommend keeping copies of every receipt and support conversation and continuing to monitor your credit-card statements even after requesting cancellation.

I also recommend reading the detailed negative reviews carefully rather than relying solely on CyberPanel's overall star rating. Some of the positive reviews I encountered are unusually brief and generic compared with the much more specific negative reviews describing technical, billing, refund, and support problems. I cannot prove those positive reviews are fake or paid, but based on what I have seen, I personally give substantially more weight to detailed reviews containing specific, verifiable experiences.

Based on my experience, I would not use CyberPanel again and would not recommend its paid services.

    Positive

Honestly, I cannot identify anything positive from my experience that would outweigh the problems I encountered. The idea of a free, open-source alternative to cPanel is appealing, but my actual experience with CyberPanel's software, paid add-ons, billing, and support was extremely poor.

    Negative

The biggest problem is the way CyberPanel handles paid subscriptions, billing, and cancellations.

I had an "All Addons" subscription for $59 per year that I no longer used. I repeatedly requested that it be cancelled. CyberPanel nevertheless charged my card $59 on July 17, 2025 and another $59 on July 17, 2026.

After extensive back-and-forth, CyberPanel support finally investigated and confirmed in writing that both charges existed, neither had been refunded, and the subscription was still active.

Even more concerning, they confirmed that the license had become detached from my account. That meant the service I was being charged for did not even appear in my dashboard.
CyberPanel also admitted that there was no self-service option for customers to cancel this type of addon subscription. I therefore had a recurring paid subscription that I could not see in my account and could not cancel myself.

I repeatedly instructed support to cancel it. Instead, multiple representatives told me they could not perform the cancellation and had to forward it to billing or administration. They could not provide a timeline for when the cancellation would actually occur.

Their support records also showed an earlier December 2025 conversation involving cancellation and a refund, yet I was charged again in July 2026.

Beyond my billing experience, I would also encourage anyone considering CyberPanel to research its security history, software reliability complaints, and customer support record before deploying it on an important production server.

CyberPanel: A Complete Waste of Time and Money

    Date: Jan 09 2025
    Summary

CyberPanel has been one of the most frustrating hosting panels I’ve ever used. It promises a lot—OpenLiteSpeed integration, SSL automation, backups, email management, and more—but fails to deliver on almost every front.

Let’s start with the basics. The WordPress installer is broken. They call it “1-click,” but I ran into constant errors with permissions and missing dependencies. It was far from the smooth experience they advertise. SSL automation wasn’t any better. Certificates failed to validate repeatedly, with no helpful error messages to guide me through fixing the issue. Backups, which are supposed to be reliable, were a nightmare to restore. Some restores were incomplete, leaving me wondering if I could even trust the panel with my data.

Email management was another disaster. Spam filtering didn’t work, and setting up DKIM and DMARC was so complicated it felt like I was being punished for choosing CyberPanel. To make things worse, the interface is clunky and outdated, and I often had to resort to terminal commands to fix basic issues—defeating the whole purpose of using a control panel.

The security concerns are what really sealed the deal for me. The panel feels unstable, and after some research, I discovered it has vulnerabilities, especially with OpenLiteSpeed configurations. This is not something you can ignore when managing live servers or important data.

The final nail in the coffin was their customer support. I paid for their premium plan, thinking I’d at least get some help resolving these issues. Instead, I got slow, generic responses that didn’t address my problems. When I requested a refund—well within their advertised 7-day trial period—they refused because I used a coupon code. It’s absurd that they’d rather hold onto a few dollars than keep a customer satisfied.

If you’re considering CyberPanel, save yourself the frustration. It’s unreliable, insecure, and their support is one of the worst I’ve encountered. There are much better options out there that actually work and don’t make you regret your choice. CyberPanel is a waste of time, money, and energy. Avoid it.

    Positive

The only real pro of CyberPanel is its OpenLiteSpeed integration, which can provide decent performance, but even this is overshadowed by the sheer number of issues that make the panel frustrating and unreliable.

    Negative

CyberPanel comes with a long list of cons that make it a poor choice for server management. The WordPress installer is buggy and constantly throws errors, requiring manual fixes that completely defeat the purpose of a “1-click” solution. SSL automation is unreliable, with certificates frequently failing validation and offering no helpful feedback for troubleshooting. Backups, a critical feature for any hosting panel, are inconsistent at best—restores often fail or result in incomplete data. The email management system is equally disappointing, with ineffective spam filters and a complex DKIM/DMARC setup process that feels unnecessarily difficult. Security is another major concern, as CyberPanel has known vulnerabilities and unstable configurations that make it unsafe for hosting critical data. The interface itself is clunky and outdated, often requiring users to resort to terminal commands for tasks that should be straightforward. Customer support is abysmal, with slow, generic responses that fail to address actual issues, even for those on premium plans. Adding insult to injury, their refund policy is unfair and rigid, denying refunds during their advertised trial period over trivial reasons like using a coupon code.

Stay away from their paid premium services

    Date: Jun 26 2023
    Summary

I would rate this SCAM artists 0 if I could, I understand it's a free cpanel and developers needs money to fund their project. However if you are offering a paid premium service be very sure it's fully functional. This isn't a review to take a company down, folks is a real life experience, took one of their free trial services that doesn't work, reported it several times, got a response once and never again only for them to try to charge my credit card after a trial period. Such a shameful act, many are willing to purchase your extra services, unfortunately, you damaged your reputation with your own God given hands. Such a tacky way to go.

    Positive

    - great free CPANEL
    - good subdomain customization
    - backup options
    -easy to use interface
    - easily accessible website lists

    Negative

    -Bad premium services
    - no response even if something is clearly wrong
