Cycloid is an Internal Developer Portal and Platform with modules around self-service and platform orchestration, project lifecycle and resource management, FinOps and GreenOps and plugins. It can be consumed through the console, in CLI or in API.

    As the director of an entity that uses the tool, I don't necessarily have a technical opinion, but my experience with cycloid has been positive, a relationship of trust, flawless agility and a well thought-out product.

    Positive

    Cycloid has started its entry into this field at Orange Cloud for Business with support and coaching on our DEVOPS methodologies.
    Far from imposing themselves, they were able to guide us and offer us suitable solutions. We chose them to deploy some of our customers and their speed of development and expertise enabled us to meet our operational constraints.
    Some developments requested specifically for our company were delivered on time and in compliance with the specifications.

    Negative

    Cycloid is a rapidly expanding company. They still have some way to go to make their product fully multi-cloud. They are on the right track and I encourage them to keep it up.

    Summary

    Cycloid is a good hybrid cloud management tool, it's not very expensive and it allows everyone from finops to developers to see what's happening on the platform.

    Positive

    The support is really useful.
    It is exactly what we wanted in terms of functionality.
    It wasn't really easy at first but the support really helped us to understand quickly how it works.

    Negative

    The step-by-step installation documentation for on-site configuration is not perfect but I'm sure they will update it as I pointed out what was not clear.

    The team behind this product are very helpful and reactive. They share with you tips or patches whenever they feel new changes to Terraform and Ansible or any library will affect your stack. This way, we have complete peace of mind knowing that our stack are well taken care of.

    * The tool is easily customisable to adapt to different stack requirement.
    * Lots of available templates to start from.
    * Whenever there is breaking changes due to library upgrade or terraform new releases, the team contact us beforehand to ensure we are ready and where required, they give patches.

    There is no cons i can think of with the product or the team.
