What is Danomics?
Danomics is a cutting-edge cloud-based platform specifically designed for subsurface interpretation, with the goal of improving the analytical capabilities of geologists and engineers as they study geological formations. The platform offers advanced tools for mapping and characterizing reservoirs, in addition to scalable cloud-based log analysis and comprehensive evaluations of decline and type curves. It allows for the import of a variety of data types, including well headers, logs, tops, core data, and shapefiles in standard formats, which aids in creating structure and isopach maps that are rooted in geological principles while simplifying the identification of tops through assisted correlation. Users can also broaden their interpretations over thousands of wells, customize their analyses using spatial interpolation tools, and construct 3D models and visual representations of reservoir characteristics for a deeper insight into production dynamics. In addition to these capabilities, the platform features workflows that utilize mineral inversion, automated data conditioning, machine learning for washout repair, and modeling of lithofacies and shear logs, all aimed at enhancing the analysis process. Furthermore, Danomics continues to evolve, integrating user feedback to refine its functionalities and maintain its relevance in the fast-paced field of geological exploration. Overall, Danomics stands out as a pivotal advancement in subsurface interpretation technology, equipping modern geological explorers with essential and innovative tools.

Growing software for geologist and engineers
Date: May 06 2026SummaryIt's something that I recommend to all my colleagues that are at small to mid sized companies. It is way better than sticking around with Petra and the cost ain't half bad.
PositiveThe support is great. They have a small core team that really knows how to solve problems and get you moving when something comes up.
The software itself is well built - it's rare that you hit bugs or that there's something that is just impossible to do. You can make structure maps, isopach maps, property maps of pretty much everything. It also has cross-sections, production forecasting, and seismic interpretationNegativeThere are a lot of options. For example there are like 10 different water saturation methods, each of which has 3-4 different parameters you need to know how to set. So, it can be intimidating if you are a non-expert like me.

Potential won’t be reached
Date: Aug 29 2025SummaryThe (overseas) owner tries to manage sales, marketing, support calls, development all on his own (from a different time zone) and nearly everything falls through the cracks as a result of it.
PositiveIt’s reasonably priced. User friendly. Support is given by the creator, which can also be a con because of his availability.
NegativeThe product is good but will never reach its potential with the owner’s mindset and lack of desire to invest any money or resources into the company. This company is cheap in everything they do. It’s a one man show (owner) with a software developer in the background.
