I have been a member of Docusign since 2019. I paid them $300 a year for using their services as a single user. I found out that
they double charged me for last year's membership. I called
and talked to them, and they admitted that they had overcharged me $300. But they would not be able to refund me the $300 because their company policy is never to refund money even though they admitted that they made the mistake.
I did end my membership with them in November 2024. I have a
problem with a company that treats their customers like this. I
have a problem with dishonest companies that do not stand behind their word. And then I found that they are not a Better
Business Bureau member and I see that they had 183 complaints in the last 3 years. They had 83 complaints
just in the last 12 months.
I searched online for another service that could do the same
thing that Docusign was doing for me. and I found a new service
called Adobe Sign. Basically I have clients that signs contracts.
I use their “request e-signatures service”. They actually
do a better job than Docusign did. I was able to use their trial
services for a few days before I became a member. I pay them
$13 a month and there is no limit on how many e-signatures I
receive from clients.

I was a Docusign customer since 2019.

They cheated me out of $300.

For closing sales, this tool is essential for my day-to-day work. I have been using Docusign for years because of the flexibility it offers my clients, even more so when I needed a light and secure platform where I can easily negotiate with my clients. With this platform, it is easier to carry out commercial transactions in relation to filling out data and electronic signatures, which is why I avoid wasting time for both my clients and myself when closing a sale. This platform makes negotiations as transparent as possible, even more so when I can send a copy of the signed contracts to clients instantly once everything is signed correctly. So I can say that electronic signatures with this platform have been an integral part of my work in my daily operations, especially when it comes to saving time and money by not having to print out the extensive documents that I handle on a daily basis. In addition, I cannot forget that it also allows me to easily keep track of all the documents without resorting to paper, which is very difficult to manage, and even more so when a specific document is required at any time.

One pro that I found in this platform and that made me stay is the ease of use, both for me and for my clients when signing, since the last thing I wanted was to confuse my clients when using these electronic signature tools, especially when it comes to business. So, from my point of view, I have opted for the best platform to make my business processes as transparent and simple as possible, so its intuitive interface design helps a lot in this process, which requires great accessibility for any type of client. Another feature that I find useful in DocuSign is the ease and convenience of being able to send documents to be signed by email and request the corresponding signatures and filling in of client data. In addition, the client can access the documents sent by both mobile phones and desktop computers, making document approval even easier. I also want to highlight the way DocuSign indicates where the user must sign and where they must fill in their data, so clients will not feel lost when making approvals or business transactions.

Although I don't find many flaws in this platform, as its functions and tools have improved over time, I still can't understand why it doesn't have an automatic save when exiting a draft. It's annoying to have to go back and do what I've already done, especially when I haven't saved manually. So I would be grateful if you add that feature so I can exit a document more quickly and not have to manually save changes every time I exit. Another feature I would like to see included is the history of changes made within a document when it is prepared for the assignment of places where digital signatures will be placed. This would be beneficial since there are times when changes need to be reversed and it's easier with a history than having to do everything again. The documentation for this platform is a bit outdated. I have to wait a long time to find out how to use certain new features, since it seems that the team in charge of the documentation is a bit behind in that aspect. This is a big disadvantage, even if it's about using the API of this platform to automate processes.

In our company, we constantly need to sign many contracts and negotiations that we constantly carry out with our employees and with our clients. When it requires technological services, that is why this platform has been really key in the general operation of the company, I am very grateful for the operation it has had and the usefulness because it has allowed our digital signature to be inserted in any type of document in just a couple of seconds, I love the way in which I have been able to make digital signatures in a very short time and in very few steps. I consider that my general experience on this platform has been magnificent and has helped to carry out various negotiations with potential clients.

1- It has connectivity and integration with any type of document management platform, this helps a lot, since it is not necessary to import the document into this platform to be able to use the digital signature, just by making the corresponding integration, you will be able to use your digital signature in any document almost instantly.

2- The platform stores any number of digital signatures you want, there are no limits on the digital signatures you can store within it, which allows both you and your employees to store their digital signatures without any limit.

3- It has international regulations, which helps ensure that all the digital signatures you use in your documents are valid in any country in the world.

4- Impossible to tamper with, each of the digital signatures is impossible to tamper with by any user, which guarantees that your digital signature is totally secure in any document you sign.

The platform in general behaves excellently, it has no type of failure in its operation and the digital signature that can be implemented and inserted in any document, does not contain any type of error, I must admit that the general operation of this platform is perfect and does not have any type of failure, or at least it has not had any type of failure during use. Within my company, it has been fantastic.

It is useful to be able to handle this platform and adapt it to my work style and industry, it has several purposes which allow it to fully integrate document editing platforms such as Google Docs or add signatures to documents from Microsoft applications such as Word which with a couple of clicks, you can sign documents digitally and directly with this platform. I also integrate DocuSign for client management through the CLM since with this I can more easily manage multiple clients at the same time without having to lose the contracts made.

Using this platform, I have not only been able to create documents such as contracts to be signed by clients, but I have also been able to create forms up to invoices which I could attach payment methods to make it easier for the client to pay their invoices through a single platform and have Flexible payment methods for any user since you can pay both with cards and with digital wallets.

For all the time I have used this platform, I have been able to stop worrying about whether a client has signed or not, and in addition to not having to wait long periods of time for the client to receive a document or invoice by post, but rather that everything simply arrives instantly and besides that I can see the status of the signatures within this platform and forward notifications if necessary for the client. DocuSign has also allowed digital signatures when I have the client face to face since this platform allows me to do so, as if it were a printed document, so I always carry my iPad when my client will sign a document in the same place where agreements are made.

* Allows you to digitally sign documents that have already been printed, resulting in that I do not have to send printed and signed documents through the mail portal, but simply scan the document and send it via email or from this same platform, which makes it more practical to carry out procedures without there being a barrier. You can also transfer the already signed documents to pdf files to be able to be printed or to be able to send it by mail to have easy access to the documents without any limitation.

* Lately, technical assistance has become very effective, providing good business solutions and listening to its customers, before everything depended mostly on the community of this platform, however, DocuSign's staff has stepped up since before they had time to very long response and when there was direct contact there were very few solutions that could be obtained to the problems I had at that time. I hope they continue like this because from time to time there are doubts and the community is not expected to solve it, but rather that the same owners or work team in charge of support provide good assistance in case of any problem with this platform.

This would avoid having to create new contracts causing confusion and also serves to correct errors that were detected after signing. It would also be good if, once the contract is undone and sent again for signing, a list with the changes made is displayed so that the client can more easily know what was changed in the document.

* The integration of applications is not very easy to handle for the common user, since a computer or programming expert can solve this integration problem through the APIs. However, it will not be easy for users who are not experts in the field and for me in case of those types of problems you could try to connect automation platforms with DocuSign since these platforms are designed for people who want to integrate platforms without using zero programming. But I hope that in the near future DocuSign will have much easier ways to integrate 3rd party applications without having to document the API and what it can offer, but just drag and drop elements to do everything.

* The variety of wallets allowed with this platform to be able to receive payments during the signing of a document is limited to the wallets that Stripe accepts, as a result this leaves out platforms such as Skrill, Venmo or Payoneer. Although most people use traditional payment methods such as debit or credit cards and some wallets like Apple or Google, this does not mean that there are no people who do not have other little-used wallets like the ones I mentioned above. So, DocuSign should be flexible with payment processor methods and accept more payments than current methods (with their respective regulations of course).

I keep the documents of the agreements made with the clients more organized, it also allows me to have a follow-up with the clients and sales from other platforms synchronized to DocuSign, having everything within one platform while maintaining general visibility on any device where DocuSign is used. I am able to save a lot on contract printing costs as all documents can be signed virtually without having to go through a mailing process or signing meeting, which could take up to several weeks for the signing to take place.

It is convenient for me to use this type of platform and even more so that the integrations with others have been very helpful for the synchronization of customer data. I have been able to link agreements with payments made on other sites without having to manually upload documents, but everything is linked automatically, making it easier to complete any agreement with anyone without any obstacles or obstacles along the way.

I believe that if this type of platform were implemented more in all companies, the environmental impact created by printing documents with large quantities of sheets would be reduced, which will most likely remain filed in some corner of a document warehouse to be forgotten. That is why I believe that the use of this platform will help to digitize everything and reduce the damage that is created by having sheets without constant use, so a document would only be printed if it was extremely necessary.

The integration of DocuSign with Stripe has also helped me since it makes it easier for me to make sales by linking the signatures and documents with the payments made, it has also helped me to synchronize the customer data of the payments that are automatically generated in the documents to be signed or authorized to make payments through Stripe.

The mobile application has been considerably improved, it is much more fluid and more so when the fields where users have to fill in the documents are added. I can also easily place myself by the signatory and I have several options to be able to fill in the fields very easily without having to add them again in each signature that I have to perform, so it seems intuitive to me that everything is done by drag and drop. Another functionality that I loved about the mobile application is the ability to scan printed documents which is practical for me because I can send documentation to sign a photograph with my smartphone and add the fields on the image where the data has to be placed. It seems that there is an internal problem with the technical support of this company because whenever I present a problem, I have to do it several times before being attended to, in addition to the fact that they do not keep track of the problems, as if it were an internal disorder where No customer information is shared about their joint tickets to submitted issues. I found it unprofessional on the part of the DocuSign team since I don't feel there is a responsibility to offer correct help and have better technical assistance. Sometimes I feel lost in certain functions and need help, but it is more than what I have found on the internet than what I have received from the technical service of this company. So, I'm not happy with the customer service I've received since I started using this platform to make contracts.

It can take time to fill in fields when the document is very long, so there is no possibility of them being filled automatically with previous answers or some configuration where you have the personal data stored so that they are filled automatically. Unless I have the customer, data and link them from other platforms with that data and send the agreements with filled in fields, I will be able to make the process of filling out the forms easier. However, there are many times that this does not happen like that and even I have had to do the whole process manually, the good thing is that from the mobile application I can do it by dragging and dropping. So having a centralized database for customer management would not be bad, it also helps to link Salesforce with DocuSign which would allow the synchronization of customer information in the agreements when a document is sent for signature.

The benefit that using DocuSign has given me within my company has been being able to sign documents regardless of whether the clients are at a short or long distance, and I have also been able to avoid the amount of paperwork that is generated when creating a contract with clients. So with this platform I have been able to save great resources in the long term since I can reduce the use of paper and its corresponding printing.

It has been more accessible for me to be able to sign contracts with clients with this platform since I currently manage a significant number of clients, this would be cumbersome having to send each document by traditional mail or go personally to sign the documents. However, with this platform, I only need to send a document to be signed through the mobile application or by email, no matter where my client is in the world.

It is very easy to be able to send documents to be signed regardless of the number of pages a document has, also it does not require knowledge on the part of the client other than just installing the application and once the person who sent the document has signed within the application mobile where the client must sign, they only have to fill in those fields with their signatures. This facilitates the accessibility for anyone to be able to use this platform both to send documents to be signed and to sign documents.

Prices are less accessible than expected, mostly for small and medium companies since from then on I think it can be a reasonable price however as I mentioned for small and large companies it can be a challenge to be able to maintain a monthly or annual payment with this platform since others offer a lower price for the same number of features it offers. For me it was not a great contract, however, as I am proposing it, it may be against many companies that are starting out and want to apply the digital signature as a way of making deals with their clients, therefore, you have to consider what I use and with what digital signature will often be applied with this platform as it might be unprofitable AND also the return on investment might not be as nice at the end of the day.

Make sure that the person who is sending a document to sign has a device capable of facilitating digital signatures, since if the signer's device screen does not work properly, their signatures will not look like a real signature and this can cause confusion in the future. Likewise, it must also be ensured that the person can have a device capable of installing the application from this platform, otherwise it would be very difficult to perform digital signatures unless the person already has a digital signature that would only have to be be added without manually signing.

It is difficult to be able to download simultaneous documents from Alava since it could take time and it would be difficult to keep track of which document has already been downloaded because its download actor is not very friendly nor does it facilitate the waiting time for each document when it is being downloaded. It is also difficult to get a good download when a document is large, so the owners of this platform should provide the download time and what speed it is taking, all this could be seen in a download manager interface of documents.

Their tech support isn't very effective for troubleshooting, mostly I feel like I'm talking to a bot on the other side of the screen. Unacceptable stress since when I want a solution it always provides the same answers which are not an effective solution for the problems I am having, so considering seeking a solution with DocuSign technical support is impossible unless I manage to hit the hook and can find a real technical support which is currently impossible.

Some emails sent for documents that need to be signed are received by clients in the spam folder, this is an inconvenience when receiving complaints from clients about contracts since they have been waiting for the request to sign documents and have not been given notice that your emails arrive in the spam folder. The problem does not come from the email center that we currently have, but rather that the emails are sent through DocuSign and apparently a large part of their emails are marked as spam, making the job of signing documents chaotic and taking time.

In our company, the signing of contracts has become a completely simple task, we have been able to sign contracts for our clients in a matter of seconds, in addition, all these signatures have international security certificates. I feel how using DocuSign, it has made it possible for us to have direct contact with the client, it has made it possible for us to inspect and monitor very closely when a client has signed a document, also, if we have inserted several signature fields, we can know exactly how many people are left to sign a document. In addition, using DocuSign is also possible offline, which ensures that we can edit contracts, create contracts from scratch, use contract templates and documents without the need for an internet connection. I am happy that I am currently using DocuSign.

I loved DocuSign's reminder system; Every time we send a document to be signed to a client, the platform is responsible for sending an alert to the client and also sends reminders when the document has not yet been signed, which is very good.

DocuSign has made me feel comfortable due to the ease with which it generates digital signatures, however, there is one thing that I have really disliked. DocuSign does not have any type of function that serves to control the remunerations or the inflow of money from the signed contracts; this function is very important as in our company we use DocuSign to close contracts with customers and with employees, so this function would be great for us, it would help us to have a perfect accounting of the amount of money collected through these closed contracts, I hope that this function be implemented in DocuSign to expand the functions of this platform.

Our overall experience with DocuSign has been completely enjoyable, in all respects. DocuSign has been a software that has met all our expectations, we have been using this service for more than a year and we feel comfortable with the amount of money we pay monthly for this service. DocuSign contracts are very solid, digital signatures help our clients to carry out negotiations with us without having to go physically to our offices, in addition, these digital contracts are much safer than a physical one, they have an encryption key, regulations and many more things that make it impenetrable. I highly recommend this software for any company, it has incredible functionality to create contracts and monitor them.

In our company, the fact of making contracts, signing them, sending contracts to our clients, preparing weekly contracts and many other things is very constant. DocuSign has made an appearance during the creation, administration, delivery and monitoring of our contracts. We are a real estate company, the contracts in our company are the key to negotiations. 3. Creating contracts in DocuSign is totally simple and the creation can be done from the computer or from the application for mobile phones. In the same way it can be created and later sent to the client, the service works in a similar way on several devices.

4. I love being able to see the status of a contract in DocuSign. It is not the same to send a physical contract to a client and not know if the client has signed it and is ready for negotiation, than to use a DocuSign contract and be informed at the exact time that the client has signed the contract, or monitor if the customer has not signed it yet so you can send him a reminder. These functions are very beneficial for us.

DocuSign has been present in our company since we started it, since it was necessary to be able to carry out more secure and more comprehensive negotiations. DocuSign has behaved very well in all aspects, it has been a very functional software in all its features and has provided a system that allows us to create signatures, send contracts to our clients, monitor the status of the contract and much more, it is indescribable the great amount of benefits that we have obtained with DocuSign and we have never presented any problem during the creation, administration and delivery of our contracts. I really admire how DocuSign has behaved, with no crashes, monitoring errors, or any other issues.

DocuSign is being used on a large scale within our sales sector but it is also being used by the corporate sector of our company, we must admit that the benefits we have had thanks to this platform have been incredible. During these two years of use, we have achieved that our clients carry out negotiations with us in a much simpler way, due to the fact that two years ago we had the problem of the pandemic within the country, this service has made it possible for our clients to carry out negotiations with us without having to leave your home, simply by doing online sessions thanks to this electronic signature system. Another of the benefits that we have achieved thanks to this platform is that we have obtained more clients, since we can process the negotiation much more quickly and allow our agents to be idle to make many more sales. DocuSign is a fairly simple method of bringing digital signatures to any business and making physical contracts obsolete. In our company, we use DocuSign as the primary method for digital signatures, due to its high long-term effectiveness. One of the things I liked the most was:

- DocuSign has a large number of certifications that make the contract or document sent to a recipient fully validated, it has security certifications and data encryption so that no document data is extracted or stolen.

- DocuSign offers a fairly organized panel where we can review the status of the document or contract that we have sent to the recipient. This panel is quite organized, by dates and times of sending, in order to have greater control. DocuSign offers us a status in real time on the documents sent, we can know exactly when a document has been electronically signed.

- Our clients can make the signatures from their mobile phone or tablet. DocuSign has a very bold App where customers can do the electronic signature just by using their mobile device, something that helps us a lot to get the signatures as soon as possible.

- It has an excellent system of reminders or alerts that allows the client to always be informed that they have a contract or document pending to be signed.

We have had a few minor complications during our experience with DocuSign but they were not negative factors that impacted us, we continue with our strong opinion that DocuSign is an excellent option when looking for some software to achieve a successful electronic signature, these negative factors were:

- DocuSign does not have an integration with any cloud storage system. At our company, we use Dropbox as our primary file manager, and we haven't been able to integrate with DocuSign as the feature doesn't exist yet. I would like to be able to integrate both platforms, this would allow me to export the documents instantly, extract the documents from the DocuSign cloud and save them in my Dropbox backup. Currently I do this saving process manually, I hope you can implement this new feature as soon as possible.

- DocuSign's free trial is not as effective, it does not allow as many documents to be sent to be signed, it only allows to send 3 documents per month for free, this greatly limits the fact that the user can test the digital signature functions at medium term.
