Excel has proved to be one of the most powerful & dependable tool for data analysis & managing data internally as well as presenting externally. Overall & basic features are easy to learn & use but when it comes to complex formulas & extensions it becomes a little tougher to learn & implement on our own.

- Its reliable functions, formulas & pivot tables that handles the complex data easily.
- Its strong integration with Power BI has helped me analyse & present my data cleanly with great looking dashboards.
- We used it for Sales analysis, Cost comparison, contemplating datasheets which more or less helps us in all our data related tasks.

- When using complex formulas, it is a little tough for a rookie to learn and implement without a mentor.
- While implementing Extensions like ChatGPT or simple or any other simple extension like a translator its quite tough to figure out how they actually works.

Been using excel for a long time and it is pretty much universally used at corporations. Lots of potential depending on your skill level.

So many possibilities! You can do so much with this program once you build the skillset. Luckily there are tons of resources online and you can learn it all on your own.

Date formatting is a mess at times. Sometimes you just want a number but it turns to a date, and vice-versa.

Occasional glitches and limitations in handling big data sets are minor hiccups in an otherwise top-notch software.

There are hundreds of very useful functions: mathematical operations, sorting, filtering and I could even classify indefinitely.
Perhaps few people know it but a complete programming language (Visual Basic for Applications) is also hidden in it.

Overall a great software with great features and helps you to export data in different formats like CSV, PDF, XLSX, etc. And you can also visualise them.

You can organise all your expenditures and mange them very easily with this. And its have some great features like formula and translate which are helpful in many cases.

No complains with this, serves it value supports multiple file type.

Great software to make quick and easy graphs and process data. Used to organize research and data used.

So many short cuts too to use while using the software.

Many soft cuts have to be learned and would be helpful to know.

Overall it's a great tool because you can use formulas to easily create data sheets and great ways to understand the data in charts etc.

I've learned a lot of cool ways to use excel over the last several years and it's such an awesome tool to use for manipulating data.

There is a very large learning curve for data manipulations.

My favorite software for just about any routine task. Graphs, tables, making to-do lists, doing comparative mathematics etc. There are functions to do just about anything if you put your mind to it.

Very flexible and useful for a whole host of different tasks. Formulas can be used to configure just about any set of information into any format you need.

My only regret is that there are people who still build tables in MS Word... I have tried to convert everyone to Excel that I can.

There are too many pros to list in this post. Excel is a powerful tool. Many users of Excel don't know even a fraction of what this software is capable of doing, myself included.

There are not a lot of cons. Some of the recent enhancements Microsoft made over the past couple of versions, and with 365, enhancements are great.

You can do so much with Excel. Whether you are a beginner or expert, Excel can benefit your workflow and data management.

I wish there was some sort of cloud-based worksheets making it easier to collaborate.

Excel is like one of the basic applications on every computer. It is super easy to use. The recovery feature is very good when the computer is shut without notice excel can recover your working sheet. The only problem I have always faced is handling CSV in excel the formatting is always a problem, numbers get truncated in CSV.

On an overall level excel is very easy to use and provides a great set of features. One can easily adapt and work on excel.

(+) Option to recover files in case of shut down.
(+) Community of excel users is too big you can get support from many resources.

(-) It cannot handle a lot of data. Gets stuck too often in case of large datasets.
(-) Handling CSV data in excel is always a problem, the formatting gets changed always.
(-) Data gets truncated if CSV formatted files are used.
