    waiting

    Python Software Foundation

"Effortless waiting made efficient, enhancing your programming experience."
Waiting is a lightweight library crafted to simplify the task of waiting for certain conditions to be fulfilled. It essentially halts execution until a specified function evaluates to True, providing a variety of operational modes to choose from. Furthermore, Waiting integrates smoothly with flux for simulating timelines, making it even more versatile. The most straightforward way to use it involves supplying a function for monitoring, and it is easy to wait indefinitely; if your predicate produces a result, that result becomes the output of wait(). Additionally, you can establish a timeout period, and if this time elapses without the predicate being satisfied, an exception will be raised. By default, the library checks the predicate every second, but this interval can be modified using the sleep_seconds parameter. When working with multiple predicates, Waiting presents two effective aggregation methods: any and all. These methods resemble Python's built-in any() and all(), but they ensure that a predicate is not called more often than necessary, which is especially advantageous for predicates that are resource-heavy and time-consuming. By optimizing these functions, Waiting significantly improves both the efficiency of asynchronous operations and the overall user experience, making it an essential tool for developers. In summary, this library not only simplifies waiting processes but also enhances performance through its thoughtful design.

    PolyNetwork

    PolyNetwork

Unlock seamless blockchain communication for a connected future.
Poly Network is engineered to promote interoperability between various blockchain systems, with the goal of establishing foundational infrastructure for the future internet. It facilitates connections between both analogous and distinct public blockchains through a transparent and equitable admission process, thereby allowing seamless communication across different networks. To date, Poly Network has successfully brought together a variety of major blockchains, such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Neo, Ontology, Elrond, Ziliqa, Binance Smart Chain, Switcheo, and Huobi ECO Chain. The platform actively invites more institutions and organizations to participate in this joint initiative aimed at progressing internet technology. Notably, the underlying technology requires minimal alterations; simply implementing two smart contracts is sufficient to enable cross-chain functionalities for blockchains that support smart contracts. For those that do not possess smart contract capabilities, the addition of two specific modules can also achieve interoperability. Through these methods, Poly Network seeks to broaden its ecosystem while fostering deeper collaboration among blockchain networks. By integrating more blockchains, the platform envisions a more interconnected and efficient blockchain landscape.

Experience the thrill of unpredictable rewards in solo mining!
In a solo mining pool, each miner works autonomously, where only the individual who successfully mines a block receives the full reward, leaving others in the pool without any earnings. The duration required to locate a block is influenced by the miner's hashrate along with a degree of randomness. Once mining begins, an accurate evaluation of the average hashrate can only be made after at least 30 minutes have passed, and this assessment relies on the shares the miner submits, which may differ from what the mining software indicates. Additionally, mining pools are designed to hold your coins only for the time necessary to validate transactions and facilitate payouts. Each pool adheres to a reward mechanism connected to block discovery, known as SOLO, where rewards are exclusively given for successful block finds, without compensation for shares submitted or the time spent mining. The process of mining is quite complex and the outcomes can greatly vary; for example, a miner might uncover nine blocks while experiencing a luck value below 20%, yet simultaneously achieve a block with an extraordinary luck value of 700%, showcasing the unpredictability inherent in this field. This fluctuation in luck not only underscores the difficulties faced but also adds to the thrill associated with solo mining, where each attempt can yield vastly different experiences.
