    As a Technical Support Agent at a Montreal-based software company, I use Folks primarily for time management and HR-related tracking. It handles my vacations, personal and mobile absences, sick days, accumulated banked hours, and pending time-off requests in one place.
    What I appreciate most is the visibility. I can quickly see how many vacation days remain, how many banked hours I’ve accumulated, and the status of any requests awaiting approval. There’s no guesswork or need for back-and-forth emails to confirm balances.

    The system also tracks certificates that need renewal, including self-evaluation forms and required quarterly and annual submissions. The automated reminders are especially helpful in ensuring that I stay compliant and don’t miss important deadlines.
    I also appreciate that anniversaries and milestones are tracked. It adds a small but meaningful human touch to the platform.

    FolksHR has been a complete game changer for streamlining our internal processes and workflows. Since implementing it around 6 months ago, we've eliminated nearly all our manual spreadsheets and calendar tracking but centralizing performance management, time away and onboarding. The automations, especially for performance, certifications and onboarding, has removed a lot of the admin bottlenecks that used to slow us down. FolksHR has put the power in the employees hands, and allowed our management team to focus on the employee experience and the people rather than the paperwork. The support from the Folks Team we've received from day one of program shopping to full integration has made the entire process smooth and enjoyable!

    The platform is excellent for day to day operations, though we’d love to see more advanced customization in the reporting module for complex data analysis. For example, under Time Management, it would be helpful to see options like Absences, Vacations, Banked Hours, or Timesheet listed right away, so I could click on them directly from the main page.

    On the Timesheet page, it would also be helpful to view the current week along with the previous and next weeks. This could make it easier to spot upcoming irregularities, such as national holidays, or to notice anything I may have forgotten to complete in the previous week.
