Labguru allowed us to conduct scientific activities quickly and efficiently. The entire platform is made to offer a customized experience based on the needs of the company. It’s really interesting for young startups like Equaly to start with LabGuru, since it can evolve and adapt to our changing needs along with the development of our company.

We particularly appreciate the Excel spreadsheet tool and the possibility to connect an experiment to any other element inside LabGuru with the Linked Resources option. In only one year of use, we experienced the platform evolving.

The text edition tool is tricky to use sometimes.

Overall, I would recommend Labguru. The folks who run it are passionate about their product and passionate about helping the users use Labguru to its full potential, which raised Labguru above other ELNs we were considering.

Labguru is so customizable. We could relatively quickly and easily set it up for our specific needs. The ability to setup protocol templates that can be used to start new experiment pages and the ability to insert forms for information that needs to be consistently logged in experiments has made it much easier for us to log data consistently and to make our workflows more consistent and reliable. The customer service is also unparalleled - every interaction has been positive and response times are short.

We wish there was a way to automatically update inventory items that we purchase. Currently it seems like inventory items/stocks have to be added manually. The software also has a steep learning curve especially for our users that are not used to complicated software. There's a lot of help page reading, clicking around, and trial and error that needs to happen to learn the software.

User friendly system for storing protocols, writing up experiments, useful inventory for cold storage, equipment, samples etc. Easy to share and witness experiments. helps to manage and organise the lab. Good support from the company.

When trying to import a large amount of data the system sometimes is slow or import fails occasionally. Sometimes the search function fails to find all documents. Otherwise, no problems.

Labguru has been amazing is just what we need. If we identify where Labguru can improve on, it is easy to feedback and one doesn't need to wait long for them to implement any changes.

Labguru is very user friendly. Although there are still minor things to be tweaked, I like the appearance of the LIMS as a whole and how easy it is for our internal developers to use API and customise the LIMS to fit our needs. It is great with integration with our other sample collection system. It is very easy to import in samples and link experiment and reagent usage to each sample. All actions are tracked and there is a trail log which is super useful if needed for troubleshooting and also for the purpose of auditing and eventually accreditation of our lab. I like that we can customise to get notifications when reagents are running low and when items have expired in addition to when and what maintenance are due for each equipment. Not forgetting it is easy to set up label template and print labels to stick on our lab tubes/plates during our choice of label printer.

At the moment it seems that moving items between storage location is not very specific but this is on their list of things to do to make it better.

When we have documents to upload for certain equipment, we cannot yet upload them to specific service date that is logged but only upload to the main equipment inventory page, which is ok but would be great to associate documents to corresponding maintenance event.

It would be useful to get notifications at a specified time (i.e. 1 month) prior to reagent expiring and not just when the reagents have expired. Our developer had sorted out customised emails for this (again indicating how easy to customise Labguru to suit our needs) but if this setting could be implemented in Labguru it would be very useful.

This is very useful tool. I would recommend it to any lab wishing professional documentation of research and general management of broad fields of laboratory activity.

All in one system that includes projects documentation as well as laboratory management (i.e. inventories, stocks, orders, meetings, protocols etc.)
All the users communicate and document the data using the same documentation design, style and "language". Every change and update is backed up and can be tracked.

It is a bit time consuming to get started and to get used to the system, especially for the new students or for those who are not used to an ELN.
Although there is a huge improve, some bugs are still jumping during fill in the system fields and tools (such as spreadsheets). The company team however is professional and service dedicated, so any issue reported from the users side is taken very seriously by them.

Neovacs received a very good feedback from the users, the administrator and the management. We are very happy to change from paper to an electronic lab book.

Very simple to use, the transfer from paper to electronic lab book has been done very rapidly, with the implementation of all the raw data coming from different sources.

Since beginning of 2021, no issues to solve. This software correspond to our needs.

As professor and supervisor of several PhD students that work on different projects and topic, the Labguru ELN helps me to have a good overview of ongoing and finished projects. It makes research more efficient and is ideal for good data management.

The Labguru ELN makes our research much more efficient and it helps to have an overview of the research that is conducted in our research laboratory. I use it at a daily basis to supervise several research projects both for academics and contract research, we also use Labguru to manage our inventory of chemicals and biologicals.

I did not encounter cons at this moment, it is very user friendly and self-explaining.

For me, data management is essential, and LabGuru helps me to keep all the data organized.
The ability to know what every student is working on in real-time helps the Lab to gain success.
The benefits are all is in one place and can easily be extracted for further use.

As a young PI, organizing a new Lab with new students make all the process much easier. The ability to know online how every project is advancing is an advantage for a PI. The straightforward interface allows me to control the Lab goals better. The fact that the LabGuru also backup all the data stored is another advantage.

I think that the LabGuru should have the ability to be linked to Graphpad Prizm and other statistical software. It will make all the data analysis much more accessible and user-friendly.

Labguru is a user-friendly ELN which allows efficient design and monitoring of the experiments. Great support of the LabGuru team.

A bit overwhelming at the beginning, quite some time needed to be able to use it efficiently. Once customised, the ELN and inventory are making the work much more efficient.

All the protocols, results and reports are available and organized in one place. all data is accessible for review and easy to navigate from any computer.
We were able to create customized forms and documentation according to our methodology and fields suitable for our nature of work and in-line with QA/GLP requirements.
Building forms that allowed unanimous data documentation with mandatory fields to allow traceability and better reproducibility.
Each user has its own permissions thus, is exposed to the relevant information.
Admin can assign projects to the team and keep track with their work progress via automatic Gantt per project.
Finally, you can electronically review, comment, and approve their results.
Labguru offers an inventory feature which is very useful for sample management and orders. Storage is updated and documented including customized expiry/stock alerts.

Labguru supports all R&D aspects, which makes it a great tool for data arrangement & management. We are able to create customized forms and documentation according to our methodology and fields suitable for our nature of work.

The beginning was hard to put the team to work with ELN and insert all the data. However, with great support we received from Labguru team support we were able to implement the module rather easily. Better tutorials of system features and how to use it are recommended.

It's just a very good system to use to record and share experiments and the very importantly the customer service is very responsive and helpful.

I’ve been using Labguru for over five years to manage my academic lab. We currently have 10 accounts.
Labguru is very flexible and accommodates our group’s needs easily. There are a ton of feature and there’s a consistently shallow learning curve. Labguru makes it extremely easy for me to keep up on people’s progress. Having all of our group’s research at my fingertips has been a life saver for preparing manuscripts, reports, and presentations. No more leafing through paper notebooks or waiting for group members to e-mail me data. The inventory system allows us to keep track of our strains and stocks easily. Because Labguru is web-based I have easy access to all my lab’s information even when I’m home or away at a conference. The Labguru calendar was instrumental for us to coordinate and schedule lab access as part our COVID-19 research resumption plan. If you’re starting a new lab or looking to make the switch over to an electronic notebook and LIMS system, Labguru is worth the investment.

The ability to easily access all my lab's information and research online. No more combing through paper lab notebooks or having to wait for lab members to email me data.

The inventory search feature would benefit from a "search all fields" option, but it isn't hard to work around.
There are way more features than we make use of.
