When a new record is obtained, LexisNexis assigns it a distinct LexID® that remains unlinked to personally identifiable information, such as social security numbers, ensuring privacy. Records that contain shared data elements are connected through LexisNexis® patented Scalable Automated Linking Technology, which facilitates the assignment of a consistent LexID. The identity profiles are continuously updated to reflect new records, maintaining the currency of the information.
