What is Mastheads?
I built Mastheads for my own newsrooms before it was a product.
What I feared was never one bad article. It was a search engine quietly demoting the site, pages that never get indexed, and years of reputation resting on a piece nobody read.
So the machine had to earn its way out. It reads real sources before it writes. It files under a real named byline. It hands the draft to desks that edit it rather than score it, and it tells you what it could not stand up. No two articles come out the same shape, because a hundred pieces sharing one skeleton is its own kind of tell.
You decide what runs. Nothing goes out on its own unless you turn that on for a site, and when you do, anything published unattended carries its EU AI Act Article 50 marker.
It publishes into WordPress.org, WordPress.com, Ghost, Webflow, Shopify, HubSpot and GoHighLevel, or it just hands you the drafts. Any language, any country. Up to 20 sites from one dashboard.
Free 7-day trial, 10 articles, no card.

Mastheads Categories and Features
AI Writing Software
Unlike many AI writing tools that merely produce drafts, Mastheads goes a step further by conducting thorough research prior to drafting content and accurately citing its sources. Each piece is crafted under a specified byline in a tone of your choosing. Every article undergoes rigorous fact-checking and adheres to established standards, allowing editors to review and potentially hold back submissions if necessary. The article's provenance is transparent, detailing what was verified and what did not meet the criteria. Ultimately, the writer or editor retains final approval. Once finalized, content can be published across a variety of seven platforms, including WordPress.org, WordPress.com, Ghost, Webflow, Shopify, HubSpot, and GoHighLevel, and can be produced in any language.

AI Writing Assistant With Editorial-Grade Quality
Date: Sep 14 2026SummaryAfter using Mastheads for around two months, I can confidently say that it is one of the strongest AI writing tools I have used for serious content creation. The biggest difference compared with many other AI writers is that the focus feels much more editorial.
Instead of simply producing text, Mastheads helps with the complete process of researching, structuring, writing, checking, and preparing an article. The final result generally feels much closer to something that could come from a proper editorial workflow rather than raw AI-generated content.
For bloggers, publishers, researchers, and content creators who care about quality rather than just generating content quickly, Mastheads is an excellent tool. In my experience, it delivers a very good balance between AI automation and editorial-grade quality, and it easily deserves a 5-star rating.PositiveI’ve been using Mastheads for around two months, and the biggest thing that stands out is the quality of the writing. It does not feel like a typical AI writer that simply generates generic content from a prompt. The output feels much closer to editorial-grade writing, with better structure, research, sourcing, tone, and overall article quality.
I especially like how Mastheads combines research and writing into one workflow. It can help find relevant information and sources, build a properly structured article, maintain a consistent writing style, check claims, and even generate supporting visuals. This makes it feel more like an AI editorial assistant than just another text generator.
The interface is clean, the workflow is easy to understand, and it saves a significant amount of time when creating long-form content without sacrificing quality.NegativeI haven’t experienced any major issues during my roughly two months of use. Because Mastheads has quite a few publishing and editorial features, it can take a little time at first to understand everything the platform can do. I would also like to see even more customization and advanced editorial controls added over time, but these are relatively minor points.
