As personal Kanban
Date: May 15 2019SummaryMy rating is based on its utility as a personal tool for planning activities and tasks. I cannot speak for corporate/organizational demands, although I'm sure it handles it well.
PositiveLove the interface... I find it more amenable to creativity than other tools I tried before. Very colorful and easy to move cards in and out of projects.
NegativeI would add the option to colorize a card, so that it stands out with respect to others.

Great organizational tool!
Date: May 15 2019SummaryOverall a great experience. I hope to keep using Meistertask for not only my business organizational needs, but also my personal needs.
PositiveI've tried Trello, Airtable, and other Kanban-enabled organizational tools, but Meistertask is the only one that's worked for me—the interface is clean and intuitive, the pricing is fair, and the free version has a complete feature set for my workflow.
NegativeOnly a couple small issues with the interface: it would be easier to work with attachments if the file also has a title displayed instead of just an icon (right now the title displays only in a tooltip), and it seems only PDFs have a preview image capture.

A user-friendly site + beautiful and inspiring interface
Date: May 15 2019SummaryExcellent! Easy to use, but also a pleasure to use--not only for the visual reward I get from completing a task, but also for the well-designed interface.
PositiveI have tried several other project-oriented websites. MeisterTask is my favorite. As a creative, I enjoy the photos of nature and quotes, but also the well-designed layout. I find it easy to add and edit projects. I really like the feature where you can break down each project into smaller tasks, yet still see how it fits into the whole. This works with my visual reward system! I find it highly motivating.
NegativeI would refer to myself as a basic user, so I am likely not receiving the full benefit. I haven't used it for group/team endeavors so I can't comment on that.

Personal use: my favourite task-management software but not perfect
Date: May 08 2019SummaryOverall it's my favourite task management software out there but it's not perfect for personal users. The platform is aimed at business users and teams, and I feel the subscription cost is too high for personal use (cheapest is 'Pro' at £8.25 per month). I'd happily pay a smaller monthly/one off (<£4/£40) payment to access the features I desire as a personal user. It would be nice to have the option!
(edit: Mind Meister has a personal subscription on offer).PositiveThe interface is nice, colourful and simple.
The app is OK.
Links to google account and google drive.
Cool links to mind maps with Mind Meister.
Easy to use / add tasks (on the web version).NegativeSubscription too expensive for personal user.

Tasks are not automatically assigned to whomever adds them (without subscribing). As a personal user, it's always me, therefore this gets annoying.
The current "focus" feature is poor.
No customisation available for the homepage, it looks a bit sparse. It would be nice if I could add specific tasks or projects to it, e.g. a task I am working on for the next week.
Not able to see the checklist items on tasks without clicking to edit the task . I have been told by support that this was omitted as checklists can become long thus ruining the aesthetic, but I'd still rather see my checklists. It would be nice if there was an option to have them displayed (toggle on/off maybe).
Adding tasks on the app is more arduous and setting a due date takes additional taps.Official MeisterTask Response -

Academic collaboration tool
Date: May 10 2019SummaryUseful software, grateful for level of functionality at the basic and free version.
PositiveGreat for own tasks, allowing others to see what I'm working on, and assigning tasks to others. Great that free version allows you to create multiple projects (which I use for multiple streams of work and workpackages, within multiple academic projects).
NegativeWould be awesome if it had an in-built timeline/Gantt/sprint feature for an overview across projects.
