Seamless transactions for my customers and easy to navigate interface. Most customers appreciate the ability to pay via ACH w/o a fee.

Have gotten a few comments about spammy vibes from out customers. Might help to make the site look a little more polished. I also had issues receiving payment via check from Melio. It got logged in the system and the check was never sent even though payment showed in full. If a client wants to pay via check, I do it outside of Melio.

Melio is overall a decent product one should try who has a good business setup and needs payment facilities.

It's allowed out clients to pay us from their checking accounts without an expensive service or having to write checks. We also like not having to pay the fees from credit card transactions or having to pass the extra expense to our clients.

Some of our clients have had problems getting Melio to work the first time and would prefer to pay with a credit card rather that use the tech support.

Clean user interface, the ability to contribute to multiple organizations with a single personal profile, integrates with popular accounting software, the ability to send a payment or request to someone that doesn't have a Melio account, and, my favorite feature so far, free ACH payments.

Missing some control features like being able to delete organizations from your profile (or to simply remove yourself from the organization). Also missing some advanced features like an API for outside developers to build integrations.

The only negative thing I found in Melio is it Limited integrations. While it connects to popular accounting platforms like QuickBooks, it doesn't integrate with everything yet.

Melio is a great product that allows businesses to utilize credit cards to pay vendors and other biz expenses that usually can’t go on a CC. They have also have auto pay feature which is very nice. The other thing I love is that it integrates into QuickBooks.

I am a real estate broker who frequently makes payments to a variety of vendors, industry professionals and other brokers. I signed up for Melio because I liked the idea of being able to pay some of these invoices with a credit card, both for tracking purposes and for the credit card points. The service worked as advertised for a handful of payments and then the breakdown began. Melio initially processed, then rejected a handful of payments claiming that payroll was not allowed. However, these are the exact same vendors I'd already paid through the service previously with no issues. (And of course, since they aren't my employees, it wasn't payroll). At one point Melio held a payment they'd rejected, claiming they could not send it back to the originating bank. It was a little over $1000, so not life-changing money, but frustrating that I had to make multiple requests of customer service to sort it out. Things continued to get more surreal from there. The next thing I know, Melio sends me an email stating that there are multiple accounts with my social security number attached and that I need to let them know which is the "real" one so they can delete the other. Concerned about a possible breach of my private data, I contact their customer service, who initially doesn't respond. On the second attempt, they look into the matter only to tell me that they don't see anything like that on their end and that they apologize for sending the alert in error. Several weeks go by and I attempt to log in to send another payment through Melio. In the final coup de grace, I receive a message telling me that my account has been closed because I did not respond to the request to confirm which of the two with my social security number was the real one. At this point I have stopped using Melio and won't recommend it to others, until they get their internal systems and customer service sorted out.

The idea is novel and should be incredibly useful for many small business owners: send payments to vendors and other contractors using a variety of methods. Quick processing, ability to pay with a credit card, and payment tracking are all very useful features.

I'll delve into details in my overall review, but in summary, Melio seems to have launched their product without fully testing it for bugs, and customer service is not trained to deal with the resulting snafus. Based on my personal experience with the platform, I have some doubts as to the level of security with which Melio guards customers' financial information. There also needs to be a more robust process for phone and email support specialists to interact with Melio's IT people, because it seems the former doesn't really understand how the site is working, nor how to resolve software glitches when they occur. Again, I offer more detail in the full review.

Melio is a great value for clients that do not have enough volume to justify BILL. I like the new view, though I would love it if clicking on a vendor brought up their whole history.

Melio is a great bill pay solution for small businesses. I love that it syncs to QuickBooks Online and that you can upload your bill directly into the software and then the bill syncs into the QBO transaction. I also love that you can set up recurring payments.

It doesn't sync with all levels of QuickBooks Online. There have been many occasions that ACH payments do not arrive within the window promised which is frustrating. So our clients know that if the payment has a critical deadline they chose to pay a wire fee to guarantee delivery. I also wish very much that you could edit your recurring payment series without having to cancel the whole series.

While Melio boasts many benefits, one potential con to consider is its limited international payment capabilities. Currently, Melio only supports payments to U.S. companies, which could be a drawback for businesses with international vendors. This restriction can necessitate using separate platforms or manually handling international payments, adding complexity and potentially increasing fees.

Overall, Melio has been a great tool in my tech stack. My clients find it easy to use. It has all the features needed to simply and quickly process bill payments. I haven't yet tested or used the "Get Paid" feature, since I have another workflow already in place. But the time may come when it makes more sense to have everything in Melio, and I anticipate that function will work as smoothly and easily as paying vendors does now.

I like that bills can be entered directly into Melio, or Melio can get them from the accounting software. Also, the ability to email bills to Melio is a great option for business owners/employees who aren't hands-on with the bookkeeping side of things.

I've had to reconnect Melio to the accounting software a few times when it stopped working. I also had to initiate the connection from inside the accounting software, rather than from Melio's side, to get a successful connection.

We have used Melio for several years. We plan to continue using Melio for the upcoming year. Overall good product.

My overall experience with Melio has been a positive one. We have multiple locations and the approval process on each invoice being processed has been seamless.

This software was free when we started using and now is charging per transaction. I am not a fan as part of our attraction to this software was no fee.
