    Helping answer practical questions

    Date: Aug 19 2026
    Summary

Overall, I think MineTwin is a very useful and practical tool. It is feature-rich, which means it can be used to answer many different operational questions instead of focusing only on something like haulage. There are many settings and operating conditions that can be changed and tested, so the same model can be used for a wide range of studies. This makes it applicable to many different types of mines and allows the user to investigate the questions that are most relevant to a particular operation.

    Positive

The studies functionality is probably the feature I find most useful. It makes analysing and comparing different scenarios much easier. I can save a study and rerun the same experiments when I receive new scenario files, or when I need to update the mine plan based on actual progress. This saves a lot of time and also makes it easier to keep the analysis consistent between different versions of a plan

    Negative

There is a bit of a steep learning curve when first setting everything up. In particular, it takes some time to get a MineTwin scenario configured so that it can be updated properly using the latest mine plan files from systems such as Deswik or Vulcan. Once the process is understood and the scenario is set up correctly, it becomes much easier to manage.

    Purpose built mining simulation software

    Date: Sep 18 2026
    Summary

We run it on live client mine studies, both open pit and underground. It gets us to the answer, where the real bottleneck sits or whether a capital spend is actually justified, faster than building a model from the ground up every time. The mining-specific foundation is the whole difference. On one underground study it showed drilling, not haulage, was the constraint, which steered the client away from a multi-million-dollar ore-pass investment that would not have raised production.

    Positive

Built for mining out of the box. Most simulation tools hand you a blank canvas and you burn weeks coding basic mine logic before you get near the actual problem. MineTwin already understands drifts, stopes, ore passes, muck bays, and it runs the whole mining cycle, not just haulage. Starting a project is more configuration than a clean build. Import the layout from Deswik, pull the operational schedule from Excel, set your equipment and rules, and you have a working model fast. When we've needed it customized for a specific operation, the vendor has been responsive.

    Negative

It's mining-specific, so the user community is smaller than a general-purpose platform and you lean on the vendor rather than public forums when something unusual comes up. Results are only as good as the input data, so budget real up-front time to collect and validate the layout and operational data before you trust the numbers.

Highly Usable for Mining Simulation and Analysis

    Date: Aug 28 2026
    Summary

Overall, my experience with MineTwin has been very positive. The software provides a good balance between modeling flexibility and mining-specific functionality, making it suitable for studying complex operational scenarios. I found it particularly valuable for evaluating different alternatives, understanding the impact of operational changes, and supporting decisions related to capacity, resource utilization, and overall system performance. The combination of simulation and analytical capabilities makes MineTwin a useful tool for both detailed operational studies and higher-level decision-making.

    Positive

MineTwin has been a very positive experience. What I value most is that it is designed specifically for mining operations, with many of the parameters and operational logic already built into the software. This makes it easier to develop models and focus on analyzing the operation rather than building everything from scratch. The integrated dashboards are also very useful for understanding results and supporting operational decisions.

    Negative

The learning curve can still be relatively steep for users who are not familiar with simulation or mining-specific concepts. However, the software provides documentation and learning resources that help users understand its features and accelerate the learning process.

The Ultimate Digital Twin Software for Mining and Operations

    Date: Aug 19 2026
    Summary

MineTwin is a total game-changer for the industry. It takes the heavy lifting out of simulation engineering and makes everything from crunching data to developing full projects feel effortless. It is the absolute perfect tool for finding bottlenecks, managing equipment fleets, and planning out heavy operations flawlessly before spending a dime in the real world. If you need a reliable, top-tier simulation engine that delivers stunning 3D results, this is exactly what you want. Highly recommended!

    Positive

What I love most is how it makes incredibly complex simulations feel easy. The 3D modeling is beautiful and makes explaining projects to clients an absolute breeze. It easily handles massive amounts of data and complex math without slowing down. Building out infrastructure layouts, routing logic, and testing different scenarios is smooth, fast, and highly accurate.

    Negative

Honestly, it is hard to find anything to complain about. Because it is packed with so many great features, you might spend your first afternoon just clicking around to see everything it can do—but the layout is so clean and intuitive that you feel like a pro in no time.

    Powerful Mining-Specific Simulation Platform

    Updated: Aug 26 2026
    Summary

My overall experience with MineTwin has been very positive. Its mining-specific approach provides a good balance between ease and speed of model development and the level of detail and accuracy required for complex simulation studies. It is a powerful tool for evaluating alternatives and supporting engineering and operational decisions, while significantly reducing the time required to develop detailed mining simulation models.

    Positive

MineTwin provides a powerful simulation environment specifically designed for mining. Having the main elements and logic required for open-pit and underground operations already available significantly reduces development time and allows us to build comprehensive and highly detailed mine models much faster for our clients. Its scenario analysis capabilities are particularly useful for running statistical experiments, identifying bottlenecks, and quantifying the impact of operational alternatives.

    Negative

Some mining operations have very specific operating rules and site-specific logic that cannot always be covered out of the box. In these cases, additional customization may be required to fully represent those requirements.
