What is OpenSea?
OpenSea is the largest online marketplace for trading crypto collectibles and non-fungible tokens (NFTs), featuring both ERC721 and ERC1155 asset types. Users have the opportunity to buy, sell, and discover a diverse array of unique digital items, including Axies, ENS names, CryptoKitties, and Decentraland assets. This platform is committed to fostering entirely new economies that revolve around true digital ownership. As both a pioneer and the foremost venue for user-owned digital items, OpenSea boasts a wide selection of products that range from collectibles and gaming assets to domain names and digital art, all of which are backed by blockchain technology. Our excitement at OpenSea stems from the rise of NFTs, a groundbreaking category of digital items characterized by their uniqueness, verifiable scarcity, liquidity, and cross-platform usability. Similar to their physical equivalents, you have the autonomy to manage these digital assets as you please—whether that involves discarding them, sharing them with friends across the globe, or listing them for sale on an open marketplace. In addition, unlike physical assets, these digital items are inherently programmable, giving rise to innovative applications. The adaptability and uniqueness of NFTs are transforming our understanding of ownership in the digital landscape, creating a new paradigm for how we engage with virtual assets. This shift not only enhances individual ownership experiences but also paves the way for collective digital economies.

Zero response to help tickets etc
Date: May 07 2022SummaryVery frustrating. I've moved on to other platforms which aren't fantastic but at least they acknowledge their users.
PositiveIt's supposedly the top dog but I don't see it. The bigger collections are there but they're on Rarible as well.
NegativeZero support, zero acknowledgment of help tickets. You're completely on your own so pray nothing goes wrong and what you buy actually shows up. Absolutely forget about trying to get verification. I'm on month four of their "up to 5 business days" to review. All of my other social medias are verified so there shouldn't be a problem...but I wouldn't know if there is because they don't bother responding to ANYTHING.

Awful Company
Date: Oct 15 2021SummaryOverall this platform will probably fail. Do not invest time or money into it. Go with something better.
PositiveNothing.
NegativeImpossible to navigate. No assistance. Many people say they purchase and do not receive the item. Not even worthy of a single star.

Top place to buy NFTs
Date: Oct 29 2021SummaryOpenSea is basically now the de facto place to buy and sell NFTs. There are other platforms out there but OpenSea is the biggest one and everyone knows about it. If you want to find the widest varieties of NFTs to buy, or want to reach a big market to sell your NFTs, OpenSea is the spot to do it.
PositiveOpenSea seems like it has won the market in terms of being the gold standard of where to buy and sell NFTs. Interface works well, everything is easy to use.
NegativeSometimes the site is a bit slow but other than that I don't have any issues with it. Support takes a while to get back to you.

Won't let me initialize wallet to post 1st sale
Date: Nov 24 2021SummaryWaste of time. I don't know how they got so popular, honestly. there are a few fees that are not easy to navigate in using the wallet with them so beware.
PositiveUploading NFTs into a collection is easy. The app for the phone runs nicely. I like Coinbase Wallet to use with it.
NegativeTrying to list NFTs for sale, even if you do have the hundreds of dollars for gas, results in an eternal wait to initialize your wallet. I waited all day. Nothing. No response from customer service. RIP.
