Cheap restaurant POS much better than MICROS
Date: Jun 07 2023SummaryI cant think of any reason I would want to use this, I would choose to hand write and send my order manually to kitchen and count my total with calculator, I know manual is slow but physically tired is better than what this system causes you mentally.
PositiveI liked nothing about this system. It design to slow down your work as server. Whoever design this dumb system must got his/her job not because they are qualified.
NegativeSlow, pain when you need to divide check or payment, hard to void or delete, the touch screen is not responsive and is really really really slow, it could not catch up and lead to mistakes just like if you use a really really old cellphone. When inputting orders, what you key in not shown right the way. I don't even want the system if I ever own business, I would rather manually run it if I could not afford pos than using MICROS for free. I have worked at really cheap restaurant with really poor POS but now that I am working with MICROS I am sure that cheap restaurant' POS was much better than MICROS.

For an unknown dumb reason, the server can delete credit card payment but so difficult to delete mistake order before it's sent. The void button positioned really close to zero. When closing credit card payment, if you slipped from zero to void it deleted the payment without a prompt. It designed to give guests free meal as in the rush you tend to press wrong button as they positioned really close. This is really the dumbest system I've ever used in 10 more years I have worked in the restaurant industry. -

The MOST backwards system in existence
Date: Aug 14 2021SummaryI used 4 months ago 2004 Aloha and it was a painful experience, that was until I used 2021 Micros Symphony. Which is exactly the same as a 16yr old system. I wonder if their developers still use Windows 95 to develop this 2021 worst system.
PositiveAbsolutely nothing, other than integrating the hotel and the restaurant. I could never recommend this software or hardware.
NegativeThe hardware for payments its a separate device from the actual pos, the mobile device still needs a separate device. It has the highest learning curve ever to be a 2021 competitor to 2yr old systems. It's the poorest experience of a current system.
