What is Paintit.ai?

Paintit.ai is an AI-powered platform for photorealistic design visualization and virtual staging, built around a chat-first workflow. It’s used by design professionals and real estate teams to create, iterate, and compare visual directions for interiors, exteriors, commercial environments (incl. HoReCa), and outdoor/landscape spaces.

You can work in two modes depending on the task:

Photo-based redesign (image-to-image) to update an existing space while keeping real-world context as a reference.
From-scratch generation (text-to-image) to explore concepts when you don’t have a photo yet.

In both cases, the workflow is optimized for revisions. Users refine results through natural-language edits—repaint, restyle, swap finishes, adjust furniture/decor, add or remove elements—and generate multiple variations for review. Projects/Collections and version history make it easier to manage iterations, compare options, and prepare client-facing outputs. Pinterest board import supports moodboard guidance to keep style direction consistent across iterations.

For product-oriented workflows, Product Finder can identify or match furniture and decor from a scene and provide links to vendor stores. Paintit.ai is browser-based and also supports partner deployments via embeddable widgets, API access, and white-label implementations for integrating visualization into customer journeys.

Super easy to use AI interior design tool

    Date: May 12 2026
    Summary

I’ve tried a lot of different cases (repaint, redesign, staging) and it worked really good for me. It’s simple, results look stylish, and it helps to make decisions quicker without overthinking.

    Positive

I like how the AI understand what I mean even with a simple prompt. It keeps the main constraints and proportions pretty well, so the space doesn’t get “broken”. Also it’s really easy to iterate — small changes in text and you see the difference fast.

    Negative

Sometimes it takes a bit of time to get the result, especially on higher quality settings. I’d love it to be a little faster when I do many iterations.

Chat design workflow that actually follows prompts

    Date: Mar 30 2026
    Summary

Overall, Paintit has become a go-to tool for quick visualization and iteration. It saves time compared to building moodboards or switching between tools, and it’s straightforward to steer results through chat. Great for exploring options and getting to a decision-ready direction faster.

    Positive

The chat-first workflow is the best part: I can start from a photo or a text brief, then iterate with small edits without restarting. It follows instructions surprisingly well, keeps the process organized, and the results look photorealistic enough for real decisions.

    Negative

Sometimes complex requests take an extra iteration to lock in specific details. I’d also love faster generation during heavy sessions and a bit more fine control over small objects and consistency across multiple variations.
