What is ParaBill?

ParaBill is recognized as the first Open Source Billing and Customer Care solution available for commercial use, designed to support traditional telecom and communication services as well as innovative content-based charging models. We provide a range of tailored services to fulfill your unique needs, such as training, feature enhancement, and help with installation and configuration. The development process initially encountered challenges due to shifting market conditions, which ultimately resulted in a transfer of ownership in 2006 from Parabell AB back to its original developers. This strategic change was focused on the goal of eventually releasing ParaBill as an Open Source platform. In May 2006, the inaugural public version of ParaBill was successfully introduced as an Open Source solution, representing a crucial turning point in its development journey. This release greatly improved user accessibility and encouraged the establishment of a collaborative community dedicated to the ongoing enhancement of the software. As a result, ParaBill not only became more widely adopted but also evolved through collective contributions and feedback, solidifying its place in the market.
