    Raspberry Pi OS / Raspbian

    Date: Dec 18 2025
    Summary

It is an excellent OS. It used to be called Raspbian. In the latest version they introduced PiConnect for desktop sharing. It would have been better if they have used VNC protocol for this purpose.

    Positive

    It is easy to install,
easy to configure with raspi-config and other tools,
    easy to use,
    lots of online help,
lots of sensors and components can be used with minimum effort,
the drivers and programs are all available online and free of charge.

    Negative

The OS is all good, no cons.
No scale up version of the hardware.
It would have been more convenient if there were a version in which PCIe NVME SSDs could be used.
More GPIO pins may also be an option.
