Overall i would recommend this product to anyone looking for licensing system solution.

Although i did not have any experience with licensing system before, their support team was stellar in helping me getting started quickly. So far i am happy with it.

At the beginning it could be very daunting to understand it, but if you go through their documentation patiently and ask the right questions to the support team, you should be fine.

Overall experience from an admin point of view is good, but I'm not involved with implementing the libraries to our software.

The support team of RLM always responds quickly and with detailed instructions whenever I reach out for assistance.

RLM tools also offer the option to give our customers access to view their licenses, which is a very useful.

A minor problem with not having the option to properly customize the look of customer facing license portal.

Highly recommended. Top product affordable also for smaller companies.

We had no issues with this product. All features are there, excellent support and continuous development.

There are a lot of options (which is good) but defining and implementing an optimal strategy takes some time.

I definitely saved a lot of headache and loss by implementing RLM.

It took quite a bit for me to implement, since my code experience is intermediate. An experienced developer would take not more than a few days, though.

We are a small company and use RLM since 2012.
This license manager was the only one I was able to integrate in our software within reasonable time. We are providing our software to big companies and they never had bigger problems installing and using our software.
Since that time some interesting features have been included, e.g. USB dongle support for Linux.

Integration was relatively straight forward and on the whole definitely less effort than rolling your own solution. Costs overall put it slightly in favour on the build vs buy decision. It is not inexpensive but in most cases will cost less than your own solution unless you need something extremely basic.

Professional and responsive company to deal with which is critically important when licensing is definitely on the critical path in most cases.

Hosted activation option is great for avoiding the pain of setting up your own activation service and managing uptime and other issues.

Documentation is extensive, though so extensive that it can be a little tricky to find your way around it, usually the information is there though.

No true usage based licensing system (e.g., for billing users by the hour). Possible in a way with various work around techniques but complex.

Interface in web tools is somewhat "old world" at this stage, however perfectly functional.

The Reprise License Manager is a flexible licensing system with all the features you will ever need. We have been using RLM for about 5 years now and our customer base is very happy with the functionality.

It is easy to install and use. Plus Reprise have excellent backup support for both software vendors and end user system administrators.

I find the software the perfect solution for our needs and have found no disadvantages with using RLM.

Overall, the RLM licensing SDK is an excellent solution for any company that is developing desktop software that needs both node-locked and network licensing solutions. Every possibility for managing your customer's software modules is possible, and eliminates needing to think through all the various scenarios of network licensing which was our main goal!

This software library is very fast and easy to implement to handle both your node-locked and network licensing needs. Everything you could possibly want from a software licensing tool is included with Reprise!

To be completely honest, the pricing being based on the income of the company using the product is something we are not a giant fan of.

It's a very stable and easy to use license management system with great customer support. We are glad that we chose RLM 7 years ago, instead of getting our own programmers back then to develop one from scratch.

RLM is highly versatile and customizable, making it suitable for our product even when we change the way we use the system. Customer support is very responsive and provide spot-on advice or solution.

Although RLM offers periodic updates and improvements, it's difficult to replace the older version in place . Documentation can be simpler.

We'd used an in-house licensing system for years but it had become very difficult to accommodate the requirements of the large customers. We wanted to minimize costs associated with licensing, so it made sense to buy a third-party solution rather than attempt to extend our own system. We found that RLM did everything that our existing system did, and more. We save time and money by using it.

I work at a 50-person company that develops specialised software tools for (mostly) large industrial customers. RLM has now largely replaced our legacy in-house licensing system.

It was easy to integrate RLM's client library, the documentation was good, and staff at our larger customers already had experience with other products that used RLM, so it reduced their costs too.

We were able to continue to use licenses tied to HASP keys in addition to licenses tied to host IDs. We don't need to spend time and money maintaining our in-house license system.

RLM's support have always been helpful and responsive.

RLM's license server is a command-line program which is not so easy to install as a Windows service. It would be better if there were GUI tools to help users setup and configure the server, and install/update license files.

We'd hoped for more tools to manage licenses for customers, something with a persistent customer database and an easy interface for issuing new license files and updating existing ones. RLM does include a tool that does some of this, but it has a minimal feature set, and many things can only be done by editing the license files directly.

We are using RLM to enforce purchased licenses for our EDA software, both for evaluation/trial licenses as well as for yearly/perpetual licenses.
If you're familiar with Flexera/flexLM this is a great lower cost alternative without sacrificing any functionality.

It's very easy to get up to speed with RLM. RLM supports multiple platforms. RLM pricing is a good bit lower than Flexera whereas the features appear to be equivalent. Support is great, very responsive to my questions.

The supplied libraries and their API don't make it very easy to troubleshoot when a license isn't found. A lot of manual work is required in the front end software to present the end user with useful details.
