Riverside.fm is a work in progress it drops connections in the middle of recordings bringing on guests is even worse we had one on and the connection drop 7 times throughout the recording. Honestly, riverside.fm will only work if they change their system from web-based to application-based I believe these issues will be corrected. And most importantly for podcasters to only have a chat option to contact support is awful. At this point anyone that wants to podcast I can not recommend riverside.fm.

Separate recording for each person.

The magic editor does not function.

We've only just discovered Riverside.fm but I wish we'd known about it earlier! The pandemic has made filming hard for everyone and like all other production companies we've had to move a lot of our work online.
Recording remote interviews etc has always been a bit hit and miss because we've been at the nercy of the little bit of string joining our talent to the studio over the internet. We've tried getting people to record themselves but they always seem to forget something as soon as we're not watching.
With Riverside.fm that has all changed. As long as our contributors have a decent laptop, tablet or phone - and if they haven't we can send them one - we can get brilliant quality recordings regardless of their internet connection.
The only downside is that we're probably not going to get so many nice trips around the world now our clients know we can do it like this!

I'd like a bit more control of the live monitoring quality. Normally it's OK but on one occasion the live feed froze because the upload was prioritising.

I am new to riverside.fm, but I have enjoyed what the platform has to offer and at a good cost. I have not had a chance to use the Clips feature yet but I am looking forward to it!

Flexibility (use of product outside of Chrome or phone app).
Support took a few days to respond but were incredibly helpful and, upon responding, immediately resolved my issue.

Riverside is outshining Zencastr, Squadcast, Iris and others with their well thought out platform and their support is very responsive.

The UI and UX are well thought out and easy for the host/producer and guests to figure out.

The quality of the audio and video is unmatched.

Wish it could be supported by all browsers, not just chrome.
Also recommend all users hard-wired to avoid an incomplete upload. Don't recommend relying on WiFi.

You could pretty much run your entire business through riverside, it even does transcripts - seriously powerful.

Picture in picture would be nice for screen sharing... but that's about it!

As a business owner, I know what often defines us is how we handle mistakes. Support at Riverside.fm has been top-notch. And so far the mistakes are all mine. Still, they've been patient, helpful, and quick to resolve any issues I've had. Once, my internet went out and I lost the recording. Support was able to find my recording and continue the download without any issues. As far as the product goes, recording quality podcasts with guests from all over the country has never been easier! Thank you!

The closest thing I have to a con is that my mic had an issue with a beta version of an editor they are testing but that's to be expected. Plus, support took care of the issue for me right away and I have no doubt this will be resolved in upcoming releases. In the meantime, I'll use their standard features which are great.

Riverside works better and is more reliable than other remote recording platforms we have tried. As a small video production company, we have needed to shift to capturing a lot of remote interviews over the pandemic, and Riverside has been a great tool to allow us to continue producing work under changing circumstances! The fact that it records locally on the subject's device and then uploads files puts it miles above Zoom in terms of recording quality, and it has been less glitchy and more reliable than other platforms we tried. Their customer service is outstanding, which is huge for us since we are a small business, they are always here to support us! Highly recommend!

It can be a bit particular regarding certain browsers and devices, but they are always continuing to improve, update, & expand their product.

Excellent, can highly recommend this product. The product is leading in the market and new features were recently added. I wish I had found Riverside.fm earlier, it could have saved me a lot of time and improved the quality of my podcasts. To be honest, Riverside.fm met all my needs as a podcaster. The video and audio quality if excellent, best in the market. I found the product to be very easy to use. At one point, I needed some advice on which video equipment to use, and was very pleased with the support and advice offered.

Have not found any yet, the product was recently updated will all very nice improvements including studio-like displays.

While they seem to offer good features, they are let down by their attempt to scam unsuspecting customers.

Seemingly records good quality audio and video but nothing special. You would get better quality using a separate camera / audio set up.

Once you sign up you are forced into a recurring monthly payment. There's no option to cancel membership and even having contacted them about this and confirming I didn't want to renew my subscription, money has been taken from my account each month.
