Review of SPC for Excel
Date: Nov 01 2023SummaryI first became aware of this software after going to the internet to find explanatory material about control charts. I noticed that the best articles were written by the author of this software, and upon further examination, learned about his product SPC for Excel. I purchased the software right away, and after using it, purchased more copies for all members of our QA Department, and I have also advised our suppliers to purchase this software as well. The software is excellent, and is only surpassed by the exceptional customer service offered with this product.
PositiveThis is exceptional software, and is the only SPC software used in our company. It is very reasonably priced, and significantly less expensive than other software with the same features and capability. The support that we receive on this software is the best in the industry; excellent, prompt, and professional. The author of the software is an international expert in the statistical field and has published several excellent articles about statistics that explain advanced concepts in simple and comprehensible terms. I cannot recommend this software more strongly.
NegativeThere is very little to dislike about this software. Some aspects were a little difficult to use at first, as is almost all SPC software, but the author provides an excellent manual for use with the software.

Great for fitting distributions
Date: Nov 19 2021SummaryMy work mostly involves modeling and simulation and SPC was the best way to transform my data, being both fast and reliable.
PositiveSPC provided me with and easy and reliable tool to fit distributions to my data and to, theoretically, judge the accuracy of my options for building my models. I also found it to be relatively easy to use within excel as most features are straight forward.
NegativeThe only two cons I can think of SPC is that not all major distributions are there for testing any given data, and the histograms feature is not well built to be easily manipulated for different input.
