What is ServBay?
ServBay is a comprehensive tool for managing development environments, aimed at simplifying the complexities involved in their upkeep. By utilizing this platform, developers can dive into coding in mere minutes, eliminating the hassle of lengthy installations and debugging processes.
The tool boasts compatibility with multiple programming languages and database systems, including PHP, Node.js, and both MariaDB (MySQL) and PostgreSQL as relational database options. Furthermore, it provides support for NoSQL databases such as Redis and Memcached, along with essential web services through Caddy and DNS management via dnsmasq. good product
Date: Nov 05 2024SummaryI used to use MAMP, but it lacked some features I needed and the updates were slow. I switched to ServBay, which supports a wide range of extensions, gets updated frequently, and even supports SSL. It's a really convenient piece of web development tool.
PositiveIt's incredibly convenient. Being able to easily switch between PHP versions is really helpful for my testing. It improves my workflow a lot.
NegativeIt would be even better if it supported more languages. Right now, it only supports PHP and Node.js.
