Not as good as Snipping Tool
Date: Jul 11 2023SummaryUse an alternative product if you cannot live with Snipping Tool - otherwise use Snipping Tool instead and don't bother with this.
Newer is not always better, and this is true in this case.PositiveComes with less security vulnerabilities as Snipping Tool. Other than that there is absolutely nothing to recommend this except that it comes bundled with Windows.
NegativeAwful design and less intuitive than the Snipping Tool it replaces.

Freezes computer, have to do a hard reset.
Date: Mar 06 2023SummaryGreat except it's not useable. Microsoft has known about this issues since mid-2021. Why has it not been fixed in 2023?
PositiveVery easy to use with intuitive controls. Simple, but very useful. Nothing that you don't need in a screenshot and editing tool.
NegativeFreezes my computer and causes me to hard reset, losing any work that was unsaved.

Buggy?
Updated: Feb 05 2022SummaryLess than optimal. Led me to reach alternatives such as ScreenRec and Greenshot etc. Shame that Microsoft did not create a full tools menu.
PositiveSeems intuitive and easy to use. Has a ruler and protractor (but they do seem buggy). Liked the ability to save and clip and paste easily the annotated images.
NegativeCould not, despite internet research, remove the overlaid ruler (or protractor) from the screenshot file, nor could I erase just one drawn object created by using those two tools. I uninstalled and reinstalled. No other suggestions found. Feb 2022.
