What is Snipping Tool?
You can capture images or text displayed on your computer screen by taking a screenshot. The Snipping Tool is available for you to edit or annotate your captures prior to saving and sharing them. Moreover, Windows 10 includes an additional screenshot application that may also be beneficial. When you start the Snipping Tool, a prompt will appear along with a keyboard shortcut for Snip & Sketch to help you navigate easily. For more comprehensive information about this application, you can check out the guide on how to effectively take and annotate screenshots in Windows 10. You have the option to draw free-form around any item or drag your cursor to make a rectangular selection. Alternatively, you can opt to capture an entire window, such as a dialog box, that you wish to screenshot. After you take a snip, it will be instantly copied to the Snipping Tool interface, giving you the chance to make modifications before saving and sharing your creations. To open the Snipping Tool, simply click the Start button, type "snipping tool" in the search bar located on the taskbar, and select it from the list that appears; you can also swipe from the right edge of the screen and enter "snipping tool" in the search box. This tool streamlines the process of capturing and editing screenshots, making it a user-friendly option. Whether you need to capture a quick image or create detailed annotations, the Snipping Tool serves as an essential resource for all your screenshot needs.
