Do not recommend
Date: May 07 2024SummaryI will avoid using any software from Siemens if at all possible, and would recommend the same to others.
PositiveWhen first started using CodeBench, it was a reasonably priced option for STM32 based projects. This was before there were free options available. It did the job, but now there are better options available for free.
NegativeInitially support was okay, but pricing went up, especially after Siemens took over. Now I only use it for maintaining some legacy code, and most recently when I requested that I be able to move my license to a new PC, they wanted basically the cost for a new license, which is outrageous for the ability to make a few updates to 8+ year old code.
