    Very positive reviews from all clients. We have 5 client setup now and all are very happy. We did have to tweak the sensitivity level for our first client, but we now know how to do that given each client's needs.

    Great sales and support team. Both Clare and Marie are very responsive and provide excellent customer service. They know the product very well and answer our questions quickly.

    Reporting options are limited. I would prefer options to have report sorted differently and be able to have the full report come out on a different schedule than the delta report. For example, report all potential spam weekly, but just report occurrences since last report daily.

    SpamTitan did what GFI Mailessentials couldn't.... And that was simply "KEEP RUNNING!!!"

    Summary

    GFI released a patch for Mailessentials, which killed my server's performance. SpamTitan to the rescue, 100%. I could only be happier if I could run the onsite version directly on a Windows server as a service, instead of being a VM.

    Extremely easy to implement, Offsite spooling in case of internet failure, It simply works. The rule setup is comprehensive, and is working well for us. When GFI let me down, TitanHQ had my back.

    Negative

    Documentation and setup instructions are lacking. It's easy to implement, but there's no "Do this for your users" instructions. You just kind of have to figure it out yourself then create your own documentation. With no knowledge of the system, getting users logging into their own quarantine page was a bit of a mystery. With the cloud based product, there's no addin for Outlook that works as "Mark this as spam", you have to manually add things to your inbound rules if you want to block them. That being said, once your start deleting your quarantine, it does seem to possibly be building some sort of bayesian database that starts catching more things you don't want to see.

    Using it over 5 years and so far it's doing the good job. It's effectively blocking malware, spam, ransomware, and viruses. It's flexible and can be customized for many scenarios. Definitely help to improve email security and release admin headache.

    We rarely have to contact SpamTitan because we have complete control and can look at what's happening. This gives us peace of mind. Love the url malicious protection. Means we're not nervous about some staff members clicking accidentally and downloading malicious software.

    Love the quarantine and reporting and the fact we have control over whether we accept or reject or block emails.

    We've used the software for a few years now and hope to continue with it for years to come.

    SpamTitan: A Reliable and Effective Email Spam Filter

    We have been using SpamTitan since August 2021, and we have been very impressed with its performance. It has significantly reduced the amount of spam and malicious emails that reach our users, and it has been very easy to use and manage.

    One of the biggest benefits of SpamTitan is that it is very easy to set up and deploy. The on-boarding team at TitanHQ was excellent, and they provided us with all the support we needed to get started. The user-facing interface is also very easy to use, and it allows managers to extend certain levels of self-management to users. For example, users can allow and whitelist trusted emails on their own, and they can also block known threats. This level of customization is very helpful, and it allows us to tailor the security experience to our specific needs.

    The security threshold settings in SpamTitan are also very robust. We have been able to find a good balance between blocking spam and malicious emails without blocking legitimate emails. However, we have found that it is important to be mindful of the number of email aliases and shared mailboxes that we use. SpamTitan's pricing structure is based on email address as opposed to user, so if you have a user with many email aliases, it can increase your costs. We would like to see TitanHQ change their pricing structure to a user-based model, as this would be more cost-effective for medium to large businesses.

    Overall, we highly recommend SpamTitan to any business that is looking for a reliable and effective email spam filter. It has been a great investment for us, and it has helped us to improve our overall security posture.

    Worst AntiSPAM Solution ever used

    Nice AntiSPAM Gateway if support and licensing counts don't matter. We are now moving to a better product.

    Nice WebUI, Clustering works very well. Automtic Cluster reconnect after downtime etc.

    We had several Bugs encountered in SPAMTitan, most of them were never fixed in the two years we used the product. The must critical bug was the License account via API. While License count we had to pay was always 100% correct, API gave only 60% of used license count we could invoice to clients. So for two years we lost a ton of money with that product. And although we explained on every meeting with on of their developers statistics again, this bug never got fixed, they closed the ticket and done.
    Another critical bug for us was, if you change sasl SMTP Authentication methos (to IMAP or LDAP Server) saslauth daemon never comes back and you have to oben a support ticket. Was never fixed. SMTP Test button is also a joke.

    When it comes to software, service and support is what makes the balance tip one way or the other. Whenever I had issues, even if they were just my own ignorance of the subjects, support has always been generous in their help and answers. They do not just send you a link to a lengthy web page and consider they did their job, SpamTitan tech support gives you actual precise procedure and will give you enough data so you understand what is going on. Just that to me makes SpamTitan a good investment. We as NW admins don't have a lot of time and issues have to be resolved fast. So I will always search for enterprise that has good fast and efficient support. Also, the control panel is just that much more important, learning the SpamTitan control panel takes no time and in seconds I can do my daily jobs with it. Hats to the IT engineers and support technicians!

    Ease of use - Real people in support that don't take weeks to answer - very flexible options to block various aspect of spam, spoofing etc, while it it impossible to block 100% of spam, they do a fairly good job.

    Gmail spam has increased tremendously over the last year, while these are very hard to detect without closing the door to good Gmail emails, anything along the line of sniffing these out would be good.

    We are very happy with SpamTitan. We use a cluster of SpamTitan servers as part of the company's spam blocking strategy in a multi level approach and it is very cost effective and performs well at eliminating spam from out networks.

    Good customer support in general.
    Good customer liaison person for monthly check ins.

    Ease of use, simple GUI for viewing mail flow and reporting.

    Negative

    Does not scan zip/compressed files.
    Layout of GUI for (example and they are all like this) allowed senders you have to scroll through a vast list before you get to the end to add a new sender, please add the ADD button on the top of the list as well.

    I would like to speak to person for customer support at times via teams/google to be able to explain issues with more detail.
    reporting on trends like users with the most threats/spam.
