Complete rubbish since the company got sold
Updated: Aug 07 2023SummaryThis app used to be great and was easy to use. Since new ownership, the app started to get useless UI changes and start to have multiple bugs. Since June, it basically stopped working. A complete waste of money.
PositiveNothing works any longer. I have been using this app for years. The new ownership of this app, not only ruined the UI, nothing works any longer; no more update of the quotes or calculation of day gains with yahoo finance. When you get in touch with support, you get the same useless message. My subscription is coming to en end this month, so at least I won't have to waste $75 for renewal.
NegativeNothing works and no words from support for a fix; it has been this way since the company got sold.

Latest version is rubbish
Updated: Jul 31 2023SummaryPainful experience since the latest versions. "Day Gain" column is not updating and today I needed to pay another £37 despite having paid £50 or so back in April 2023
PositiveNothing at present. This software is no longer fit for purpose which is a real shame as it used to be one of my favourite programs.
NegativeAfter many years of enjoying what was a solid monitoring tool, the latest versions (since change of CEO ??) has. been an absolute disaster. No longer can I synch between laptops, the Yahoo feed is broken and now not updating. They issued an update recently which had to be pulled - do they not test their software before releasing it. Although I paid for a year's subscription in April 2023, they demand another £37 today (31 Jul 2023). They don't make it clear what version you're on. God, how I miss MS Money 2005 !!!

Good to bad
Date: Aug 25 2023SummaryAnyone have suggestions on what they replaced it with that has similar "working" abilities? Such a shame that a once well working product is now just useless.
PositiveSame as other recent reviews, no longer works for anything and support saying they are fixing but left with an app that sucks 20% cpu and does nothing, no stock price updates, GUI was changed and can't see anything in one screen without scrolling.
NegativeMy renewal is also coming up soon and will be moving to something else.

Serious sync issues
Date: Jul 18 2023SummaryI have to switch to something else, I cannot use this software as it is, I get different results for the same account on different machines!
PositiveEasy to use for stocks, but a real mess for bonds or unlisted funds.
Nice graphs when they are correct.
Good data feeds.NegativeThe new version is a complete disaster in terms of synchronization, the data is completely different between the Mac and the iPhone for the same account. Their client service is very nice, but the issue has been ongoing for two months and still no fix or news.

Going down.. down.. down..
Date: Aug 08 2023SummaryI spent lots of effort spent entering data in this app, for it all to be rendered unusable. This has cost me $ in missed trades and time to migrate to another app and migrate my data. It's amazing how quickly this app went down the tubes.
PositiveUsing the app for over a year. It only had a couple of minor quirks, but worked well and met my needs for tracking. Since new management took over it went downhill and now no longer gets quotes. Support is reasonably quick, though no solutions, just blaming Yahoo for issues.
NegativeNew management wasted effort working on the UI and not adding new functionality and they broke the online sync.... iPad/iPhone apps were not great, but at least tolerable. Basically its a Stock tracker app that has not received any quotes going on 3 weeks now.

Consolidates info, so I can focus on investment decisions!
Date: May 16 2021SummaryMultiple portfolios and accounts, no problem. Not really for algorithmic investor folks though.. Comes with technical indicators and common metrics.
PositiveI feel like the markets have been increasingly democratized, but a side effect has been a proliferation of different tools, to track individual equities, options chains, portfolios, and even social media sentiment. I tried StockMarketEye's trial to see if it could help declutter my workflow and so far it's worked pretty well. My favorite feature is how it links to all my different brokerage accounts and displays all my holdings in one place.
NegativeI dabble in algorithmic trading, but haven't found a good way to integrate my code/backtests with the data coming from StockMarketEye. For a non-algorithmic investor though it's great.
