Great Product for our business
Date: Jan 31 2024SummaryWe tried several other products before we settle with TeamDesk. Among them TeamDesk stands out in performance and price. The unlimited data storage is a big plus for our business. Overall I am very happy with TeamDesk.
PositiveVery easy to manage, develop and present to customers. All our customers like it. Currently we are using this to present the data to customers. Customers are not able to edit and save data. That is all what we need for the time being. The feature of unlimited data storage is a big plus for us, since we store lot of file attachments.
NegativeLoading of pages are bit slow. May be due to large quantity of data we store.

TeamDesk review
Date: Jan 31 2024SummarySo so. Lots of glitches, and things that don't automatically update.
Hard to personalize - dependent on administrator to make changes & to fix things not working properly.
Hard to rely on it as a database, too many things that I don't have control over in order to rely on it being accurate.PositiveI like that I can manage sales, companies, equipment inventory, and employee time sheets on the same platform.
I like that it covers an account from the moment it gets called, all the way through being a customer, and then becoming inactive.NegativeWish there was a scheduling/routing feature for technicians.

Don't like that the companies can get "overloaded" then error out when trying to open.
Don't like that the work orders don't follow the equipment.
Don't like that there are no catches when something doesn't get completed.
Don't like that none of the views work.
Wish I could also manage parts inventory on same platform.
Don't like that once something is done, it has to be undone and then redone in order to make a change. -

Platform/Tool for Real-life Business Databases
Updated: Feb 04 2024SummaryI run a construction material production mine in Indonesia. I was looking for a good platform/tool to develop database applications to help the management. I have tried several no-code/low-code tools but to me TeamDesk's data-centric characteristic make it the best.
It helps that I myself enjoy analysing an aspect of operation in terms of the data available and how they should be organized into related tables, and then how useful information can be distilled. Of all the tools I have tried, only TeamDesk allows me to understand our operations through data, to start simple and discover shortcomings as reflected in the data, then to add features to support changes in our business practice, done in small steps without demanding risky disruptions.
In four years of using TeamDesk I have been able to construct four databases for our operations, with some data and photo inputs, and managerial authorization performed on mobile devices. About 20 users participate daily in the database usage with each in his role and authorization. I expect to accumulate years of data with no cost addition, because TeamDesk does not impose limit on data volume (for the time being).
My wish is that TeamDesk would be deployed in a data center in either Singapore or Indonesia. Users in South-east Asia will benefit from low latency access.Positive1. Based on industry-strength SQL database engine yet developers are free from writing SQL.
2. In nearly four years we only experienced once or twice server downtime lasting less than an hour. (We are in Indonesia and the servers are in the US.)
3. Easy-to-construct UI that looks neat and professional, yet intrinsically restricts developers from over-spending time and resources on fanciful but not critical UI designs.
4. Unlimited capacity for number of databases and data for a fixed subscription.
5. Provides all the technical features for workflow programming within and across databases, including timed triggered actions, email and mobile notifications, Webhook, REST API, All of them easy to program and reliable.
6. A "Development Branch" allows revisions to be made in parallel. Small revisions can be implemented in real time, while larger scale upgrade can be implemented during a weekend, thereby minimizing disruption to operations.
7. Accurate documentation.
8. Responsive technical support, who answer queries within a few hours even when across different time zones.Negative1. Being cloud based, sometimes the latency is significant. But we hesitate to place the criticism on TeamDesk as the local infrastructure and communication across oceans may be the cause.

2. There is no programming language to use by the database developer. Programming is done using table relations and formulas. Debugging is cumbersome. It is also impossible to do recursive process.
3. Although there is sufficient documentation on the features available, there is very little guidance on what to do or not to do (the "tips and tricks"). It seems the individual developer has to get the feel by himself from trial and error.
4. There is no place within a database for the developer to document the development process and features. Such documentation would be very useful especially when URL links can be embedded for reference, making long term maintenance and handing over easier. -

Good No-code platforms do exist!
Updated: Aug 21 2024SummaryWhen I started to look for a low-code platform for my department, I was a bit skeptical.
I knew I may need one because I understood all the benefits of not having to deal with a lengthy and tricky development cycle, not even talking about re-adjustments, which would put you through a pricey and usually buggy re-development again and again.
However, I thought I have to prepare myself to deal with some compromises since, as I thought that a configurable platform won’t be able to compete with an in-box system that was developed for a particular industry.
Dealing with multiple low-code platforms that I tested recently, I felt that, unfortunately, my assumption was correct… until I came across the platform called TeamDesk.net
Not only it proofs to be as flexible and customizable as I couldn’t dream of,
it is also as fast and robust as if it is a system that was coded and compiled to my specs from the ground up.
TeamDesk functionality is amazing, it is far beyond my current needs, and it gives me incentives to make my department database much more robust and sophisticated than I originally thought.
The system may be integrated with other platforms and comes with a very useful mobile app for our field agents.
Our skilled IT coders especially love TeamDesk despite it is a “low code” platform. They are able to fly through the setup and use robust formulas or utilize API interface when needed.
Overall, I must agree that good “no-code” platforms do exist. And I have a feeling that I found the best of them.PositivePlatform stability and responsiveness.
Unlimited data storage.
Intuitive setup interface.
Affordable pricing model.
Responsive and professional customer support.NegativeThe interface needed a little modernization, but now with the recent update it looks stylish.

1. Calendar 2. Office documents
Date: Jan 31 2024Summary1. The calendar in the current format serves no purpose.
It must send out reminders, schedule events weekly, fortnightly, etc.
2. TeamDesk must save time not add time to your workload.Positive1. I want a calendar on TeamDesk that works like Google Calendar.
Even just the Google Calendar integrated will be of a huge advantage.
2. The fact that you have to save the document, make changes and then delete the previous document and then attach the changed document.
It would have been easier to just open the attachment and then make changes and saved the document and the changes takes effect.
Kind regardsNegative1. The calendar is of no use to a company.

Fast development, powerful
Date: Jan 31 2024SummaryExcellent tool. I recommend it as the faster platform to build software solutions in replacement of coding.
PositiveI have all my company's processes implemented in TeamDesk and it let me personalize all the activities. I found TeamDesk powerful and development goes very fast. Using triggers, buttons and actions, I am able to customize the behavior of the navigation.
NegativeLook and feel not changeable. Although for me its not really a con, you must be able to build a good database structure (tables and relations) to reflect to your users a better experience.

Excellent platform!
Date: Jan 31 2024SummaryTeamDesk support has been extremely consistent. The speed of response has been a big factor in our ability to grow the platform catered to our evolving needs.
PositiveI have been working on the TeamDesk platform for nearly 2 decades now. I have been continually impressed by the ease of customization and the capabilities of the software to innovate. This platform has been a game changer for my business and is now a cornerstone of our systems based operations.
NegativeThe only "con" I can see could be the vast opportunities the platform provides. It can take a bit of creative work to decide which direction to build out your database. This however, is perhaps what I enjoy the most!!

TeamDesk is the solution you are looking for!
Date: Jan 31 2024SummaryI have searched long and hard and tried multiple platforms alongside a combination of subscription services to help with Project Accounting & Management, Employee timekeeping, and equipment use in my construction company. TeamDesk, (alongside many hrs of setting up tables and forms!) has allowed me to reconcile, automate, and extend features and capabilities through their analogous mobile platform.
PositiveLow-cost entry database option,
Ease of use,
A low learning curve,
Great functionality,
Development backend that is methodically well laid out,
Mobile functionality well integrated with table schema,
Ease of adoption from staff,
Easy onboarding of employees through a mobile app,
Effortless billing subscription.NegativeThe UI is a little tired but very functional and uncluttered. An automated connector service is Webhook. I need to look at how that works with Zapier.

Simply the best product supported by the best people
Updated: Sep 04 2023SummaryI've been lucky enough to have worked with the TeamDesk offering since 2010.
After many attempts at replacing another system with various products, we found TeamDesk. It was apparent in a very short space of time that we could design and build our own system, better.
In three months, we'd built an application which replaced and surpassed the (very expensive) proprietary software.
Being in the custom manufacturing industry, we had many 'moving parts' which needed to be tracked and/or recorded.
Lead taking, quoting, invoicing, job scheduling, purchase ordering, inventory/stock control and time sheets..to name a few of the processes.
With each day, we were able to build useful workflows which could be live-added to our application. This enabled our staff, suppliers and customers complete collaboration which greatly improved our efficiencies and reduced wastage.
Since those humble beginnings, I have been able to offer the same base platform to other manufacturers and to also diverse into the health, education, real estate, horticultural and laboratory industries.
In my opinion, nothing comes close to the TeamDesk product and what makes it even more appealing is the people who support, develop and maintain it.
I cannot speak highly enough of the TeamDesk Team - they are like family.PositiveThe stability and speed of the platform, coupled with the generous data limits, make TeamDesk a very cost effective application.
Its simple and powerful interface allows non-tech people to develop user-friendly workflows which can either help with record keeping, efficiencies or both.
The support staff are always rapid with their response and are always bang on target. And, as importantly; they are friendly and kind souls.
I'm grateful for their persona...and it's something which many support teams around the world could learn from.NegativeThe interface needs a little modernisation and is something which is currently in the works.
