Telegram is modern way of messaging which gives me ability to send any size and types of media and files. It supports many bot commands which makes my channel innovative. Messages are very secure thanks to its encryptions engine.

Telegram is growing community and evolving at super pace, the spam and other illicit content is increasing too, moderation is good but still feel it needs a better management in terms of keeping the platform clean.

I've been using Telegram off and on for about half a year now, more so after deactivating Facebook. It's slightly less addicting to check Telegram vs Messenger, in part because you don't get a red super obvious indicator when messages come in.

Well there are many pros of this application like:
- You can meet people who will change your perspective about life, future business partner, your new friend, etc.
- It provides a very secure chatting process.
- You can hide your profile and you can create your own group or super group.

- Telegram can work on several devices at the same time and you can transfer files from one device to another as well.

There are a few cons of this application as well:
- Telegram is not an easy platform, subscribers can leave your channel or group as quickly as they come because of the vast platform it provides to others as well.
- Your Telegram can be flooded with messages most of the time.
- Should focus on the appearance of this platform, this is a very bad thing about this application that it does not have an attractive interface which can be a very huge problem for its popularity among people.

Overall it's a good tool and works well. It's reliable which is another important aspect of it for me.

Super easy way to use and set up messaging from multiple devices and can be accessed from anywhere.

There aren't any cons that i dislike about it so far.

I think WhatsApp has several minor issues that annoy us from time to time. Telegram is a good upgrade for the same.

I have been using Telegram for almost 4 years now. There are a lot of channels which provide a lot of information for free. One can get a lot of information on public exams, news, articles, and a lot of guidance for many other useful things.

On the negative side Telegram holds a lot of pirated content. There is no moderation on the content that is being held on telegram. I have also seen some fraudulent activities taking place in Telegram. It would be great to see some sort of rules and regulations in place.

(+) Channel option, one can add unlimited number of people to a channel.
(+) Different media type files can be shared, large files can also be shared.
(+) Free of cost.

(-) The interface looks a bit old, can be modernized.
(-) Notification if someone from my contact list joined on telegram.
(-) A lot of spam and fake content.
(-) Holds a lot of pirated books and movies.

The application is best if you want to be a part of large group where people share useful material and messages with each other. For short and quick conversations WhatsApp is still the best option.

I am using telegram from the last 2 years, It compensates for the shortcomings of WhatsApp. We can add a large number of people in a group which is not possible in other applications. The UI is very simple and easy to understand. The voice calling works perfectly with good voice quality, It works even if the Internet connection is not that strong.

The security is not that strong with the bots in the market our data can be easily be manipulated. The application does not have a video calling option that needs to be added.

Yes its incredible with instant messaging which ensure faster feedback.

I have always found WhatsApp to be limiting in several ways. Telegram has solved a lot of those issues.

- The best pro for me is the independent phone and desktop apps. This prevents the annoying delays and connectivity errors that we face in WhatsApp.
- The self destructing secret chat is also an interesting feature.

There is nothing much not to like about telegram except the fact that not enough people are on it at the moment.

It's a great client that needs new and innovative features to attract a larger user base. It's the most secure instant messaging application on the app stores.

UI feels lightweight and non cumbersome.

Needs to have video calling feature, instead of people nearby.
Doesn't work on Jailbroken devices.
