What is Telize?

Telize is a RESTful API crafted in C with the Kore framework, designed to help users obtain a visitor's IP address and access geolocation information linked to any given IP. It delivers its responses in JSON format and supports both JSON and JSONP requests, making it versatile for various applications. By leveraging libmaxminddb, Telize executes geolocation queries with efficiency, utilizing an in-memory database that minimizes overhead and maximizes speed. The default configuration of Telize does not enable logging, which requires manual setup; users can find commented directives for access logging in the conf/telize.conf file for each domain block. If an instance of Telize produces a large volume of logs, it may be beneficial to consider Logswan for effective log management solutions. Moreover, in version 3.0.0 and beyond, Telize has added a feature that allows for the dynamic calculation of timezone offsets (UTC time offset), which is included in its output payload, thereby boosting the overall functionality of the geolocation data provided. This enhancement significantly increases the value of Telize for developers needing accurate location-based services, making it an essential tool for such applications.
