The later version is not great on Win11

    Date: Mar 06 2025
    Summary

For com port operation, I suggest downloading an older version of this program such as 4.182, which works well.

    Positive

It is a good terminal program and I like it for terminal operation with COM ports. It is a good all round terminal application that is easy to use and reasonably robust.

    Negative

    1) Every time I start logging to file, the target folder defaults back to its preset path. That is annoying and the older versions did not do that.
    2) Setting the font size is seems buggy as size 7 is tiny small and cannot be read on the output screen but setting to size 8 is at super huge and cannot fit the screen width. This used to work beautifully on the older versions. Where even size 10 could be used for the same output and fitted.
    3) On Win11 it often seems becomes inoperative if the USB/COM cable is pulled out. It then has to be closed and restarted. The older versions seemed to just say "disconnected " and work again when the cable is reconnected.
