Efficient Time-Tracking
Date: Aug 15 2022SummaryToggl Track has been an easy solution that has increased our productivity by a lot, and it continues to show us great tools that we can use to boost our work as a team. Individually, I feel like Toggl has helped me get on track with all my projects and not miss anything important thanks to its helpful reminders, and it has helped me become more organized around different tasks that I used to struggle with before. I use this software daily and I can't work without it as it helps me keep track my time on different areas during the day, and it helps me understand my team a bit more by providing great, insightful reports on how our time is spent as a team. Toggl also gives me the power to understand how our projects are going to be completed, creating a great timeline and full process of said projects dividing them into sub-projects or sub-tasks, which also helps with the distribution of said tasks, helping me choose the right team members to distribute the tasks to based on their productivity on different areas. Lastly, my experience with this software has been so amazing and it boosted our work process in a very short period of time, now every day we simply log in the app and get to work on our main tasks.
PositiveI like that Toggl Track has an interface that is easy to use and all I need to do is login and start tracking my work hours. My most favorite aspects about Toggl are the following:
-I am able to track time in different projects thanks to its ability to segment tasks and projects, successfully allowing me to know how much time I've spent on each project and it helps me organize my time even better for more productivity on different aspects of my business.
-Reporting tool. Toggl has a smart reporting tool that can be customized to my liking, choosing between different options like weekly or daily basis as well as detailed or summarized, and it will generate the report that can be exported and it's very easy to read, with a comprehensive analysis and information of all the time tracked.
-I am able to set billable rates and automate it with my calendar and set a specific date for billing. Because of the integration with the calendar, I am also able to see my tracked time in the calendar for easy viewing and easy access of this.
-For project time organization, Toggl has different templates that work well and adjust to every project capacity and goals, making it simple to sort by priorities and urgency to know what to do first when login in the software to start my work day. Also, Toggl also has the feature to add sub-projects and sort their importance inside of a project.
-Team organization is easy with Toggl, which helps me easily create teams depending on projects or roles, and set reminders for time tracking during the day, and it's a valuable part of this software because it boosts our productivity as individuals and as teams, providing great reports on how we do as a team during each project or task.NegativeThere are many things that I don't like about Toggl Track but the main one is the fact that sometimes when I am doing a task and I am finished with it, I sometimes forget to turn off the timer and it will cause issues on the tracked time, and this has happened to other people in my team too. I think it would be great to add the option to set the timer to specific minutes or hours so that this happens less often. Also, like many other softwares that work with extensions, I have found encountered many bugs while using the Chrome extension, which can be annoying at times when switching between tasks because it slows down our productivity a bit, which is not our goal. I would also like to see more integrations added to Toggl Track such as accounting softwares and project management softwares so that we can use it with our preferred softwares that we use day-to-day for easier access to time-tracking and more intuitiveness of our workspace. Other than that, I feel like Toggl Track is an easy and simple solution that does its job pretty well.

Toggl leaves timesheets behind and digitizes the process

PositiveThe application is very useful offering us time tracking tools such as the creation of reports and graphs, also the most important thing for our organizations is that it allows us to export such information in spreadsheet format for Excel. This application has allowed us a much simpler payroll management.
NegativeIt allows us to monitor the number of hours that employees are active, but lacks a software for monitoring them. It does not have an activity log on the screen or a keystroke log, i.e. it does not provide a tracking tool or productivity analysis.

Toggl reduces expenses on time and attendance materials

However, if you want to cover quality and productivity monitoring and control functions for each employee, Toggl is not a plausible option.
PositiveWe have greatly simplified the processes that determine everything in terms of time and attendance management within our company. Toggl provides us with a biometric attendance system that tells us digitally when our employees are clocking in and out of work. The latter allows us to perform a much fairer payroll process.
NegativeAlthough it provides us with a customizable extension on any computer to account for the time spent by administrative employees at their desks, it does not integrate quality monitoring and management options. We cannot determine how much productive activity our employees generate.
