Three stars because I was disappointed and scared that I've been scammed (still am). I had a choice between PDF SAM Enhanced and UPDF Pro.. I chose the latter but found a number of issues: they don't have U.S. customer support. They promised one year free subscription to UPDF AI when I first signed up and paid. Their receipt specifically gave me one year use of UPDF AI with my $42 payment. But I never got to use it because they sent me email after one week indicating that they would automatically charge me one week later. Very disappointed. No explanation and no apology from them when they finally responded to my emails. So take the risk with your money (I paid $42 for UPDF Pro and am lucky that it is still working- who knows if and when they put a bug in it to stop working for me). My UPDF Pro is supposed to be good for "perpetual". We'll see. Otherwise, the software is pretty good. It is a notch below Adobe Acrobat Pro. UPDF does not have the easy cut-and-paste feature that allows you to draw a square around text or picture of interest and copy/paste that delineated section-- major disappointment. You need to figure out the many functions of the icons because they have no labels- OK with me because the labels pop up when you move mouse over the icons.

User friendly software; the icons are tiny and not labeled but the labels pop up when mouse pointer is moved over the icon; good options to export to other formats; I like the OCR recognition feature which works fine; software works as expected; no bugs; good pricing.

Very tiny icons which are not labeled; cannot cut-and-paste selected areas of a page; no phone customer support; had to send 5 emails before they responded; promised me one year use of UPDF AI but I never got to use it since they only gave me 2 weeks with a warning that they would automatically charge my credit card; scary customer support since they have no phone number of address in the U.S. Only in China.

UPDF is a free PDF reader, PDF editor, PDF annotator, and PDF organizer. You can use it to open and view PDF documents, and there are four modes provided. You can annotate PDF documents with various tools, including highlights, text boxes, typewriters, etc. Editing the text and images is very easy with this tool.

I think there are three pros to this tool.
1. This is the first real free PDF editor I've ever used. It is 100% free to edit text and images in PDF documents.
2. The interface is very beautiful and eye-catching which is quite different from other PDF tools.
3. The performance is good.

It is rather new in the market. At first, I don't trust it as I have never heard of it. But once I tried it, I begin to love it.
